A first person shooter + mech + puzzle game. A visually impressive game with gameplay where you play a infantry gunner with parkour abilities like wall running. Mixed with certain time tricks, moving platforms, and multi-tasking it turns many scenarios into a Portal-like puzzle game.
If that weren't enough you have the ability to get into your mech and blow stuff up and dual other mech bosses and grunts.

Pros:
-Very very fun game for those who love shooters, mechs, or Portal-like puzzles.
-Very pretty game.

Cons:
-Very short campaign. 5-7 hours. It's a muti-player focused game.

The campaign story is okay, but the relationship and bond you'll have with your talking mech is very human-like and real.
I recommend buying on a nice sale if you're in it for the campaign. If you're a competitive multi-player gamer, buying it at full price is totally worth it.

There has been no other game that has properly replaced this incredible RTS title, so this remake is huge.
The game looks much better with high resolution graphics and new sharper textures. The AI does not cheat with resources like it does in the HD version and is much smarter than the original. Matchmaking online and with friends is a breeze and doesn't require any third party software.
This version also added so many features that makes micro-managing your empire much easier like auto-renewing farms and seeing how many villagers are on each resources.

In my opinion it is a proper update that makes the game fun and allows new players to enjoy this amazing game without dealing with the eyesore of old graphics. Not only is this game nostalgic of an older game, but it is still the only game of it's kind and still holds it's own in the current RTS market. Not buying this game is doing yourself a disservice.
