This game genuinely surprised me. Great feel for the universe and tone, good variety of missions and the levelling/equipment system is easy to grasp but unexpectedly fun. Bonus points for the fact that your equipment and characters carry over to the expansion.

Loses some marks (but not many) due to the amount of map re-use and the fact that tactics become a moot point once your equipment is good enough but still recommend it.

Like the first one, but one more.

Like Tower Defence games? Check.
Like trying to find the perfect combination of traps? Check.
None too fond of Orcish Hordes? Check.

Oooooh boy are you in for a treat.

Endlessly replayable, deeply engrossing....until the Industrial Age when the winner has basically already been decided...
