I love this game, I didn't know what I was getting into other than something something dystopian world from a cat's view, adventure puzzle. It was well worth the money and will have some replayability if you want to go back in for 100% or achievements. The music was beautiful, the animations were smooth and well rendered. Cat behaviour true to likeness, lot's of little interactive objects to mess with and an almost limitless ability to jump anywhere. Want to jump onto a bookshelf for no reason and knock bottles? Well you can! The controls for the most part were good, little bit of accidental jumping into wrong places, it happens. The game does chuck you into some intense escape sequences however is forgiving about death, spawning you back before you leapt into the sequence, there are no lives or penalties other than dying. It's just so heartwarming and the story is relayed well.

After playing all four Blackwell games in rapid succession, this was the bittersweet cherry on top. The story as always is brilliant, and the characters are flawless and nicely fleshed, the voiceovers really bring them to life. You become really invested in the main characters and their relationships throughout the series. Puzzles are fairly straightforward, most of it is questioning, using logic, using your notes and oogling. Oh, and if you get lost you can always ask your partner for hints.

Don't let the pixels fool you, this is a really good game with a beautiful soundtrack. Wadjet Eye Games, if you're reading this, I really want to know how Joey Mallone became a spirit guide even though he went over, perhaps another prequel is in order?

Levels I hate: Having to run around gathering individual pieces of rice before all the mice eats it all, if you don't manage to eat all the rice you can't eat the mice to continue, and get a game over. Where's the flexibility??! Not easy when you have slithery controls. Only complaint so far!
