Not enough balding, way too many gates (at least 3).

However, good game with rich features and plenty of interesting romance-options. Especially as the Dark Urge!

Alright, let's first say what is good about this game:

- Fast-paced, fun to try out. Really feels like you're zooming around the battlefield at most times.
- Graphically stunning, though some textures are a bit iffy such as hairs etc.
- Has potential to be a good game, if more polished. Amazing job for a single-person development studio.

Now the bad things:

- Settings and progress in skills are often not saved. I've had to buy one of the first few skills a couple of times. Unsure if it's like an upgrade, so should be more pronounced as an upgrade if so.
- Gunplay is meh. Doesn't really feel like you should choose which gun to pick over the other, the shotgun is just enough to bulldoze most in a few short-burst shots while the SMG is good for keeping up your combo-meter. Perhaps in a full, proper release it'll feel better defined.
- The models. The enemies are a weird one, imo. at the start I'm fighting guys in high-tech suits, 5 minutes later I'm fighting a full-on medieval knight, after a dark souls easter egg (which was fun, I'll admit). And let's not talk about Carter's model...
- No Telegraphing: this may obviously be a design choice, but please. When I enter a cave filled with smoke, I'd much rather get a little warning of "Flashbang!" instead of getting surprised with an epilepsy-inducing lightshow out of nowhere.
- 'wonky' physics / AI: Normal enemies: run straight to you, try to smack or shoot. Bosses: *teleports behind you* omae wa mou shindeiru. (basically: straightforward, not that fun and well: bosses seem to teleport a lot. Suddenly they cross half the playfield to club you with one strike till near-death if not fully dead)

To make a long story short: It's got potential. Definitely. All it needs is some innovation, more polishing and well, fixing. I get the positive reviews and all, but this is way too short to be called a game. It feels like a glorified demo, which is understandable from a one-man studio. Sadly, the current state isn't enough to keep me interested and has yet pushed me away. Perhaps in a later time, when it's more polished and not being outshined by it's follow-up game.

TL;DR: Wonky bosses, meh gunplay and unsure what to think of the game. Could be better, amazing for one guy to make this.

I've played this game for only 16 hours while writing this,
but f*ck, this game is giving me the most fun I've had in a while.

and you can pet cerberus so 10/10 game.
