Don't buy this unless you're migrating from console to PC.

Cost of entry to be able to access relevant content is quite high, even with a sale. Then the time commitment required is also quite high. Unless you use microtransactions to hasten the leveling process.

Presentation and gunplay is practically unmatched, it's a lot of fun if you aren't bothered by repetitive a gameplay loop and forking out $100 a year to stay relevant.

It's optimised well enough to run decently on weaker machines but thew games incoming and outgoing damage is tied to FPS, where its less beneficial to play at framerates higher than 30FPS, but 60FPS is good enough for most content. Anything higher is a detriment to the player experience since it causes you to die quicker.

PVP is a joke thanks to cheating despite their efforts. It still uses an "enhanced p2p connection" instead of dedicated servers, which theyre using for their next game instead (already announced btw).

Story can be engaging but we're 9 years into a 10 year story and past seasonal content is vaulted and inaccessible and to get an idea of the story at all you'll end up watching a ton of YT videos or spending a lot of time on fan sites that archived all Lore since not all of it is available in game.

As far as Live Service games go, again, art direction, sound, graphics all those design points are better than this game monetisation deserves, in fact theyre probably helping the game stay alive.

And unless youre a real king of FPSs, or just patient, skilled and dedicated, almost all content CAN be solo'd but having a team helps and none of the endgame content has matchmaking.

Your mileage may vary.

It's a very basic beat em up by today standards, but it's presented well if with buggy online play. It would take about 2 hours for an average player to beat it. Some players might struggle with later boss fights without help. But the game is everything it sells itself as, a late 80s early 90s style beat 'em up with a story mode that saves progress and has collectibles with challenges on every level. It also has a simple progression for each character. It has an Arcade mode with difficulty options and has limited Continues and no saves but all abilities are unlocked for each character.

Lots of little nostalgia easter eggs for fans of the Games and cartoon of the era.

I really enjoyed it and if it looks like you'd enjoy it on the surface, you'll like it. its the kind of game you can put away for a few weeks or months but pull out to blow of some steam or just have some mindless fun.

Fantastic and gripping story that delivers a deeply personal experience unlike any other game I've played. With decent gameplay that lacks it's own creativity or imagination but is solid enough to get through the main story.

Such an amazing game from a bare bones prequel to a fully fleshed out sequel, I've never been so amazed by a follow up to a non existing story.
