It's been years... years! since I've had so much fun reading the freaking manual!

Can't play without registration. In-game registration doesn't work. There are two registration forms on the website, the obvious one doesn't work, use the other. There's a massive input lag for a mouse cursor, even in the menus. If you let the game use Steam Overlay, it flickers. Devs constantly repeat they've fixed the Steam authentication issue but it happens over and over. Other than that, cool game. The community will kill and ban you from the server after 5 minutes if you aren't up to their hardcore-player expectations.

Released in 1991. Yes, it's 25 years old now!

This game had it's 10th, 15th and 20th anniversary editions. It's the first title to introduce vector graphics animation. Combined with an already known and loved rotoscopy (see: Prince of Persia, 1989) it was considered stunning for years. By many, still is.

Ever heard Mycaruba, the most iconic equivocal in the history of video games? Well, it's really Matsuba and comes from Another World, delivered by an alien ally after the main protagonist, Lester, breaks them out of jail. As the developer, Eric Chahi, says in Another World: Making Of video interview: - I just drivelled on and on and tried to put some intention into it.. Then he played it backwards.

It took six days to create the Earth. Another World took two years.

I still think most of positive reviews for this game were given by kids who like boobs and play on Windows (which is the majority of Steam community so I'm statistically right). It does seem, however, all of the issues regarding controllers have been solved because all my controllers, including the Steam Controller, JustWork™. And that's awesome because playing Skullgirls with keyboard simply sucks! - I've been told it's tolerable with mechanic one but I wouldn't know and hope to never find out.

So what can I say about this game after the worst allegation I had against it is gone? Well, if you're going to host a party, buy extra controllers. And backups. And tell your boss you're not coming to work the day after.

The game is rather logical but can get you stuck now and then with a puzzle that doesn't fit the rest. It's a nice, Agatha Christie style detective story of a thief and his capturer where player plays both sides gaining both perspectives. I enjoyed it a lot. There were, however, some aspects typical for the most of the point&click genre that can throw off a casual player. I'd give it 8/10 points if it wasn't so damn long - the story was stretched in a very artificial manner to fit into several episodes. Could easily be squished in one.

Overall: 6/10.

I wanted this game for a long time but it turned out to be unplayable with controller and unpleasant to play with keyboard & mouse.

Input is the deal breaker. You can enable controller in mouse options. It makes the left stick act like a mouse, turning the camera left and right, but at the same time up and down is walking forward and backwards instead of changing the view angle. The other stick doesn't work at all. You can leave controller option disabled and rebind the keyboard to gamepad. Walking works correctly with the left stick then... but you have to operate the camera with a mouse because the right stick still doesn't work. Simply said, unplayable.

I usually have no way of playing Windows games and won't be able to test this title again when I'm back home so don't expect an edit.

This game is not what is promised... you might like it if you cry watching cheesy dramas about a lonely guy waking up, going shopping and talking to himself about how he lost his precious puppy. The very same level of excitement. Regardless of what you do the story goes on with minor changes and is barely compelling. Just like in the Raiders of the Lost Ark, the main protagonist is entirely needless. "Would you play a game where you're not a hero?" -- from the game's intro.

This game is seriously something. I immediately fell in love with the main protagonist - Arid, the AI of the mark-7 combat suit awaken to protect its unconscious pilot. Driven by protocols and utilizing loopholes to unlock otherwise unavailable skills she does everything to save Colonel Josephs' life. Will she succeed, depends on you.

Apart from the way the game feels, which is awesome, not so rare issue occurs when switching rapidly between movement modes, i.e. walking, hiding behind cover or using a cloaking subsystem. Arid can get stuck behind a cover or display inability to jump, hide again or even run properly after vaulting over an obstacle and killing an enemy droid. It's minor since action isn't the mine focus of the game but still, this kind of bugs never reflect well on a title, especially version 1.43 where all of the movement bugs should be long gone. That and a way less often observed lack of enemy's dying animation are the only technical issues I encountered during the whole gameplay.

Above said, I strongly recommend this title and can't wait for the next episode.

Yet another space shooter with points. Being honest, it's rather boring and repetitive. Wave after wave of enemies and the mother ship to destroy after the end of each level. Something I got in a bundle, wouldn't pay for it otherwise.

Controller support isn't partial. It's null. Linux, four different controllers, with and without xboxdrv in different configs. Nothing.
