While I'd feel guilty calling it a must-play, especially in front of people who aren't used to darker, more emotionally-intense stories (this one's a hell of a ride), I'd be dishonest if I said this wasn't one of the best games I've played.

So many "minis" in this game, but with 80 hours of active play barely putting a dent in it all and rather active updates to boot, it's anything but!

Most reviewers like to say, "this is the Dark Souls of [whatever]". Toss it around all willy-nilly.
I tell you now, without a shadow of doubt left in my mind, without a shred of dignity left in my soul, Cruelty Squad is the Gorbino's Quest of the free market, and the setting, without a doubt, the Gorbino's Quest of life.
Everything is horrible, your life sucks, you live in a constant state of pain and filth, and you love it.
This is the go-to game for those who crave PUNISHMENT.

I am thoroughly convinced, after around 50 days of total gameplay and countless years of owning it, that I will never get bored of this game. Sometimes mods will require other Source games to function, but other than that, this game is absolutely beautiful.

It isn't Half Life 3, but it's so great that it might as well be!
