We're so back!

Man i want to like this game so bad but it's just so painfully MID.
Ill start with the positives. The animations look really good and the amount of different options you have in combat are pretty cool and varied. I have not finished the game yet but from what i can tell there is a lot of content, around 80 bosses, different biomes and many more good stuff.
However. Majority of the cool things you can do in combat are on a cool down and/or require mana. This would be fine and well but all the fight boil down to is mashing X with an occasional Y to parry or do a heavy attack. The move set is incredibly limited, there is only 1 weapon so about 5 hours in i got pretty bored of the combat. Especially with standard enemies which you can fight in your sleep.
The boss designs are alright but some of them are just boring as all hell like the big rock dude for example.
What hurts me the most is the fact that the graphics look pretty damn bad. The first area looks great but the second area (a much bigger one mind you) looks horrible, I've seen Unreal engine 4 games that look better. Heck, AC Unity looked better 10 years ago!! There seems to be a problem with a really bad contrast setting and lack of artistic design whatsoever. The world just doesn't feel too unique or interesting. A lot of structures are copy pasted. and you can never tell if youre in a new area or circling back on an old one. which is a whole another problem. The level design is very bland, nothing circles back on each other, no interesting shortcuts or something like that.

Additionally sometimes the game is straight up broken and unresponsive. The heal button has failed me so many times its not even funny. Ive also had 1 boss constanlty go outside the arena bounds (but the bounds are just for me) because I could not damage the boss but he can easily attack me. honestly just so broken and feels like it was never playtested in some areas

Everyone was hyping up the game so much, it broke records on concurrent players and sits at good reviews yet i came in with standard expectations and not only left unsatisfied, but utterly dissapointed. I do not get the hype around this game. I regret buying it at full price but at 50% off I'd say its well worth the money. If the combat was deeper and more engaging and the graphics looked better maybe then I'd be happy but as it stands now, the game is hella mid


UPD: I got to the third are while having done all the secret stuff in the first 2 chapters and I quit. Art style is boring, mechanics are clunky, the camera is unbarable, the combat is braindead, the levels are unimaginative, the exploration is mid asf, the progression feels pointless and the price for all that is wayyyy to high. First time since AC Oddysey I feel robbed. I wish I could refund this game. So many better things to buy for this money.

Bought this game cos I could wait for Stalker 2 and gotta say the zone in this game is pretty damn bolts

Crack: The video game

After so many long years and multiple delays this game is finally out and I love it. The zone is mesmerising, the graphics are insane and the atmosphere is amazing. Best urban explorer game ever made. Took days off work and clocked in 52 hours and I still can't get enough.
The performance is a bit lacking but i have faith that it will only get better with updates and mods.
This game is worth the money and the wait we had to go through.

locked into russian server and language, no way to change it. can't even play with friends. useless. If you wanna play solo games the OG games are way better

Listen, choom. This is some preem content right here. Left me speechless. The ending is psycho. Now don't be a gonk and spend some hard earned eddies on this here BD. Absolutely worth it, no doubt.

I hate top down perspective, I hate point and click, i hate turn based combat, I am not easily impressed by medieval/fantasy settings and i really don't care much for choices having consequences... NORMALLY.

But this is a whole separate deal. This game slaps and i can't stop playing it

not good

Playing this game makes me so happy.
It's just all the childhood dreams of being a Hogwarts student, flying on a broom around the castle. This is all you ever wanted.
It is also so much more than I expected. They could have just done Hogwarts and Hogsmead and people would be happy but this game has a massive world, interesting progression systems, fun side quests, interesting main story, tonnes of spells and just so so much more.
In terms of negatives, the PC performance is lacking. Frequent FPS drops and stutters. 1% lows are very low. Sometimes the GPU util will randomly jump up to 100% and the FPS will dip to 15 after running with no problem on 70-80 (3060ti). Another small negative for me personally was way too many things out on the map, can be super overwhelming and hard to remember where you should come back later after unlocking a new spell.
A small nit pick. There does not seem to be a patronus charm or dementors but that's okay, no big deal, just wanted to see some patronuses :)
overal id give it 95/100, game is amazing. invokes a tonne of positive emotions and brings back my childhood. If you're a potter fan, this is the best thing that could happen this year.
