With hindsight I can tell you that even at full price, the full Civ V package (including DLC's) is well worth the price. This is one of the most complex, interesting and engaging games that I've ever played. You have a massive list of Civ's to play from, which all have unique playstyles suited to them so you can play an infinite amount of games (each of which can easily last 10 hours) with AI controlled opponents, or your friends online. Not only do the variety of Civ's make the game so deep but also the map choices that you're given. You can choose your favourite map type (of which there are Continents, Islands and Pangea to name a few) which are all randomly generated, or pick the random map type for a surprise. If you somehow get bored of that there are also a number of scenarios that you can play in, as well as the ability to crank up the difficulty to insane levels, or piss easy ones if you just enjoy stomping on everyone. I can guarantee that if you think that you'll enjoy this game that you will, I thought about it for a year and finally got it in the winter sale and can only sing it praises. But if you're REALLY unsure about whether you want it and you don't want to drop the money on it, then there is a demo available to get you hooked so I recommend trying that out before buying the game. I highly recommend this game at a 9/10, it will absolutely ruin your life. I should currently be doing work but Just... One... More... Turn...

It wasn't a very faithful reboot of the original series, you could breeze through missions by just going in all bows blazing (literally) and find it excruciatingly difficult while trying to be stealthy (which is the main point of the game). Coupled with annoying boss battles that are ridiculous and or cliche, as well as some scenes just straight up taking a dump on the original franchise e.g. running over a rooftop from a bunch of guards, explosions and chasing dogs. It also ended very suddenly, ambiguously and didn't explain much. When putting all that aside and considering that this is a company that most people won't have heard of as well as this being a Triple A title shows just how ambitious this project is. It's fun, dark has very impressive graphics and it's nice to have a new stealth game that isn't AC or Hitman. I also got very good Gametime (28 hours) out of it which is very refreshing.

Overall I'd give it a solid 7/10 (Definitely recommend buying it in a sale but probably not at its full price)

The amount of imagination in this game is astounding. It's got a plethora of various classes and items that no matter how YOU want to play, it has you covered. This game is constantly updated, has huge play time/replay value and is my overall third favourite game of all time. If you still haven 't played this game yet then what are you waiting for? It's free so you have nothing to lose, plus in what other game do you get to smack a big fat russian weapons expert with a fish and then cover him in milk?
