This game kept popping up in my recomendations and finally I gave up. Thought, I'd make some wacky character, put in a couple or a dozen hours in and leave it behind like I tend to do lately. Well, it's been several days and I went through the whole story without skipping a beat. Can't remember the last game to be this engaging for my taste.

I may have run through with a 12 Charisma Shaman like a one-track dummy, but I enjoyed every second of it. I haven't had a fight for several hours after the introductory mission, and was just reading and reading for hours: every plotpoint big and small, characters' backgrounds, lore and exposition, talked my way through first couple of runs. It was like an interactive book and I loved it because the writing is superb.

Of course, the game is not without hiccups. A typo or two, a bug here and there, a weird lag at times, but nothing regular saving couldn't fix. The combat is not challenging even at the hardest available setting, so in the end it's more about how well you can plan slaughtering those poor enemies. At one point I made a point of not getting damanged through the whole level until the boss fight. Had to reload like forty times. Got a lot more fun and frustration at the same time. But it's on me — I'm weird that way.

And now if you'll excuse me, I need to check out another build and answer-pattern I've been mulling over. I bet I'll leave this one halfway through. There's just no way I wouldn't, right?
