Frost Punk is a very well done city building game that takes place at some time when humanity is doomed. You take control of a settlement and make it grow. It is a dark game, the town needs to survive, not to be happy or look nice. It has a good feeling, great graphics. The game ends though, once you chieve certain goeal. it´s not open like other city bulding games.

A Game of Space is a simple game, the name is too big for it. It is a game that can only be played in VR, because of the ship controls, which are IMO the best and most original part of the game.
The ship is actually a probe, that you control from 3rd person perspective, with controllers that adjust very well and very intuitively. The controllers fully handle the probe, which propels with full accordance to physics, and no AI, so this is probably the main gameplay mechanics, going from point A to B. It seems simple and boring, but it isn´t.
This is the kind of game that while slow-looking, can take up hours of your time, and while the graphics are by no means remarkable, you find yourself just lost in thoughts between the slow and constant movement of the probe and the void. It isa slow-pace but very charming game.
Now, this game looks and feels absolutely Indi, and for that, the price is excessive. Also, the problem of being Ubisoft, is that, Indies usually improve their games after launch, while Ubisoft, rarely does. In fact, this game went out and we rarely heard of he developers again. It seems a game that Ubisoft got rid of.
Finally, it almost have no visual options, this is a weird mix between console and indie, not precisely synergic.

(VR campaign) flying my Xwing looking all the time around to see where all my enemies are, running from the Destroyer but at the same time looking back, visually preparing my counterattack.... This is a dream come true for all of us that grew watching the old Star wars movies. Despite some bluryness, I am inside my Xwing fighting for the rebels, no doubt about it.

The game is so immersive, that is actually very hard to switch to the parts of the game where I´m an Imperial. It feels ackward, it´s not like in the Flat, where this is happening to someone else: in VR this is happening to me.

This game is and it has been for some time now, at that stage, where it can turn out to be an amazing and memorable game, or, a simple game that no one will remember or want to remember.
It´s because, being in alpha stage, it hasn´t show a single player campaign. If the single campaign gets to be interesting, of a good lenght and depth, it´ll be a top game, it has great mechanics and immersion. If not, it´ll be a huge dissapointment, since the bots are not that fun without a context, and I mean, in VR multiplayer, in general, no one shows up.

When just in the game, it looks amazing, it really captures the feeling of being on one of these giant robots. So as a VR experience for being in a robot, this game is best. It just doesn´t feel as a full game yet.

For me, Whirligig is the best VR player out there for one objective reason: It´s the only one you can watch not only 3D movies, but also 3D pictures, on your HMD. Personally, I take 3D Screenshots all the time in SteamVR. This is the only software where I can watch them (and it´s so great to remember game moments in 3D).
Secondly, Whirligig is super-highly costumizable. Settings here are more and more detailed than in any other VR video player I have tried.
With so many tweak possibilities, it is less simpler than other players though. And in my opinion some things could be easier to hanlde. For example, to move the image up and down you click on arrows, instead of just using your VR hands, like in other players.
Thirdly, the support, I never seen such a good and personalized support. As soon as I had an issue, the developer contacted me, helped me, right away. And problem solved. The developer is very interested in releasing a great (est) VR player, and he is certainly achieving it.

This is a 3 hour long fun puzzle game that is lovely to share with a second player.

The Dawn of Man is a strategy game similar to the Anno series, but you get to control up to the person level. Each person has its own AI and must comply a series of tasks from harvesting to crafting tools, before getting tired and going to bed. The greatest dificulty of the game is that this needs to be balanced, if tasks are too few, food will not be enough, or straw for the animals, or tools for the harvest. If tasks are too many, people get exausted, slow down and suffer. Appart of this, the game offers no dificulty, to the point you can easily play while doing something else.

The historical part of the game is great, the feeling of human early development is there, toguether with the early difficulties and the evolution of work. First, all resources come from hunting and gathering, then the cultural level slowly evolves to an agricultural society, later to an early metal manufacturing town.

Great game. Kind of Indie looking, but with many AAA features.

Most VR games are really VR experiences, and this is not an exception. However, IMO, all VR experiences have a "best game for it". Space Pirate trainter is the best of the wave shooter with sci fi guns. In Death is the best experience with bows. And, Nightstar:Alliance is the best game for the experience of holding a spaceship on your hand. Similar to Xorter, from The Lab, but with added complexity and gameplay. Really recomended.

Don´t buy until they add bots. Right now you´ll be mostly alone, which is very boring.

I think this game would be great for kids. However, I´d like to point out that it is not really a game for adults. I say this because, somehow, the game´s trailer makes it look as if it would be, showing scenes of a game that while simple, might be beautifully evocative. Well, it is not, it´s just a kid´s game. Also, the trailer makes it look as if the game would have beautiful graphics that an adult might appreciate besides the simplicity of the game. Well, it doesn´t, it´s just a kid´s game. It is not evocative, and it is not beautiful, as i.e. Lucky's Tale is. It´s not a bad game, for kids in fact is great, but I think the trailer is somehow misleading. Also, I think the promotional picture is also missleading, because while the main characters are beautifully made, the landscape is not. Textures and models are very simple and low quality, except for the main characters.
