Graphically interesting game with sub-par game-play. Most of what is achieved in terms of game-play in this game has been done and re-done countless times already. On top, the development team has backpedaled promises such as F2P upon release.

To sum it up, if you love Disney and greedy corpo, but don't care too much about diverse game-play, this is the game for you.

What a save!

Pros:
- Still hasn't gotten old for me, and probably my favorite game for the last year and a half.
- Cheap in comparison to other games with this much replayability.
- Best to play with friends or others in-game. I've met a lot of cool people playing casuals and partying up.
- Great car customization. I have about 50 presets this point, just because I like making nice cars.
- Consistent mechanics and physics that get easier to read with time. Except those corners...
- With practice, the feeling of ranking up and/or getting gud is really enjoyable. It feels great to go from flopping on the ground, to hitting aerials, to dribbles, double touches and quick pass-plays. You have to put in a lot of effort and training to get there, but seeing your own progression is SO satisfying.
- Limited game modes have been fun for me, but lots of others would disagree as the mechanics are way different. Some you find fun, some are agonizing.
- Got homework but don't want to study?

Cons:
- Hard game that takes a lot of practice. Could be a pro depending on how you look at it!
- Some of the community is VERY toxic. Champ "stuck" in diamond or plat, ball-chasers, quitters after 1 goal down, not to mention toxic quickchat and allchat, etc.
- Playing solo can make the toxicity and experience worse, since most of the time the toxicity is from your own team.
- In game purchases are necessary for the GOOD cosmetics. Don't expect buying the game to be the last purchase made. That being said, I bought the first rocket pass and have been able to buy the others just by earning keys from level-ups. (Only way to earn free keys is through the rocket pass, max of 10 which is just enough for another rocket pass).
- This game has seen a crash in support since Epic bought Psyonix. More server issues, and just not the most trusted company as of right now. Besides server lag, I have not personally experienced other downsides.

If you can get it on sale, it's totally worth it. The normal price is too, but I'm still not sure what effect the buyout by Epic will have.

Best way to play is not to take it too seriously. It is easy to tilt if you stress over ranks and bad teammates.
