PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a 100-man battle royale last man standing game with the power of rng, lagspikes and tons of bugs. Came out from Early Access in 20th December 2017. Before the release it was (not) a quite decent game, with (un)acceptable connection stability, poor optimailization and countless cheaters ingame. This state hasn't been changed a lot since the release, the servers are trashier than they ever were, the optimalization is slightly better, the hitscan is ridiculous rng, random lagspikes makes the gaming experience unenjoyable and literally unplayable sometimes, but on the bright side, if you keen to pay 30$ for this garbage, in approx. 100 horus you can have it back in the form of ingame lootcrates which you can sell on the community market. In my opinion, buying the game only for solo matches is not worth it at all, but playing with friends makes it a little bit bearable. Since you can't take this game seriously as a competitive e-sport game like CS:GO or Rainbow Six Siege because of the game design (the enemy can see you but you can't see the enemy, random loot drop, gigantic map) I don't think it will ever be eligible as a serious fully competitive e-sport game, or even if it will, neither in this decade or century.

Since I wasted more than 500 hours on this game, I can certainly say that if there were not for the friends, I wouldn't reach even the 50 ingame hours. It's sometimes disgustingly unfair, which makes utter dull and takes all your will to continue on living.

TL;DR
Current state is trash [i.imgur.com], maybe (but I don't think) a few months after release it will be playable and enjoyable. Lootboxes can bring you weekly $1-2 if you grind your ass off.
