Disclaimer : Free weekend gameplay; Rule Of Acquisition #127 Gratitude can bring on generosity.

Potential is there for this to be smooth, and concise from a gameplay stand point. I will break this down in bullet points to make reading comfortable.

What I liked:
- Rebels and Imperials get to enjoy 4 classic ships for there faction, plus, the recent bonus ships such as the U-Wing, and the Baatu Bucket.
- I like the customization of the pilots, with hats, and gloves being an option; Lando cape(s) could be a DLC in the future.
- I do love that the droids customize to some extent with changing skin color of your ship, Droid Depot inspirations.
- At least if your a beginner, your weapon controls are more gimble-controlled, which does help make it enjoyable.

Rule Of Acquisition #157. You are surrounded by opportunities; you just have to know where to look.

What could improve:
- I've done flight simulators back to the first iteration of, "Microsoft Flight Simulator", and programs to instruct remote control aircraft flight, using keyboards and a mouse when a joystick wasn't physically available. Perhaps adjusting mouse sensitivity on the desktop might help with mouse flight controls, but it could take a simple patch to make a mouse sensitivity adjustment bar, to help pilots make the maneuvers they expected to make.

Rule Of Acquisition #110 Only a fool passes up a business opportunity.

- A gamepad might be appropriate for younglings, however, I must agree with my fellow pilots that a patch to add joystick support, to better control x, y, z axis translations could be done with some work on game code. It would best capture the essential spirit of the game's franchise, and would bring new, and former squad members confident enough to come play.

Rule Of Acquisition #37. You can always buy back a lost reputation.

Recommendation at time of review is I cannot suggest this game is avionics friendly, HOWEVER, I was given the chance to run through the program for free, explore the options it has even while offline, and find the areas that it preforms well at.
I think the development team should consult project management, and ask for some allotted time make some patch notes, look into making some additions to the code that already exist instead of any re-work.

Rule Of Acquisition #33 It never hurts to suck up to the boss.

Have some product testing to see if controller improvements and additional device compatibles would revitalize an existing asset. To do so means fewer hours trying to make something not yet on the market produced, but it has the potential to bring a renewed stream of revenue to a product the customer base is knows as a household name.

Finally, if there's one thing you should remember most of all :
Rule Of Acquisition #57 Good customers are almost as rare as Latinum - treasure them.

For anyone who ever took Automotive shop in school, or at a technical school for a voluntary summer course, this program will give you so much confidence, and give you a sense of personal empowerment, to take apart, and rebuild a vehicle you enjoy. Even though this doesn't capture every single aspect, which would be a daunting task for any programmer, it covers many of the essentials to get a car, or truck functional. If there was anything out there for a simulator that could be used in virtual learning, that could produce an in-demand career, ASE certification, or give the recreational hobbyist genuine help, it would be Car Mechanic Simulator 2018.

Pros:
It simplifies the process of vehicle restoration, to give the player a sense of what it could be, without the hours of grinding with an electric sander, using a silica blaster, or painstaking body work with hammer, and Bondo™. Although, it would pose a more interesting challenge in VR to do so, I think I can hold off breathing in any more ferrous materials, with putty goop on my hand.

Building the engine with an air ratchet tool makes satisfaction immediate. In real life, using a socket wrench, dropping said socket wrench, then grumbling because you busted a knuckle or cried a river of man tears trying to retrieve socket wrench among all the sharp, pointed edges crafted by engineers who got their degree at Teufort. I love that air ratchet, and would endorse that it is as easy as the game makes it. Having one with what you build in your garage is a blessing.

WORKSHOP: The content creators bring soul to what they make. I could list 3 of my favorites, but to be fair, go look in the workshop for yourself. These are the magicians that brew the best ballin' rides, whip up the best whips, and conjure the crunkest money hustlers. If anyone ever comes up with a Generation ten Cadillac Eldorado, base, and touring coupe package, I will play with it the rest of the year.

Cons:
Gaskets. I've had to change them on a woeful amount of water pumps, at least one fuel pump, valve covers, 4 barrel & 2 barrel carbs. The kids need to know that without the gaskets, things leak, build pressure, and even explode in my unfortunate experience. It's not hard, remove a bad gasket, clean & prep the metal surface, apply gasket sealant to the new gasket, evenly place new gasket to part.

Engine & temp sensitive paint. Children young as Yoda, and somewhat younger than Nancy Pelosi love to see a painted and colorful engine, with all the chrome accents. They love the painted engine blocks, the valve covers, the engine bay, they want to use temp sensitive paint to feed their Frankenstein/Frankenhole if we're talking about art piece vehicles bound for the wastelands, or Fremont.

Painted brake calipers. Yes, there is specific paint to use, and hell yes we want painted calipers, any color we want.

Paint light colors to mimic bulb colors. Headlights, tail lights, cabin dome lights, engine bay light, trunk light, let us bring the rainbow of LED tech to bring the show car out.

Leopard print interiors, do it, just DO IT, make YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE! Zebra, leopard, snakeskin, cow, anything that could be applied to the interior components as a livery option, and be painted!

Can we please get a multiplayer option to do races with our friends Mario Kart style with the creations we build? The rainbow Road in workshop is almost as magical as the trips that go on in the mind of Robert Downy Jr. (Rainbow Road creator, HUGE thank you).

Musical air horns. You've build the masterpiece meant for automotive tour de force of greatness, or for driving Klee and Qiqi to the parking lot of Denny's for milkshakes, now make it classy with la cucaracha, tequila, rock you like a hurricane, don't stop, be-liev-ing.

hydraulics lowrider kits: gonna pop it til the wheels fall off.

I recommend this game now, more than ever. Now, you can play with a few dedicated engineers that still enjoy the challenge of building in an unspoiled medieval land; free of modern trappings, hover boards, and the only smart devices available are what you invent.

I'm not going to let 64 bad apples, who are influencing the percentage numbers like miserly old men, keep me from playing the only sandbox that you can build steam locomotives, siege weapons, stone fortresses, Greek temples, garden estates, Roman aquaducts, villas, Trojan horses (still great at invading your PC, as well as Troy), parthenons, colosseums, trebuchets, THE ROMAN EMPIRE -or- the diet coke version, THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE (Byzantine Empire).

I still have yet to see anyone work on:

Had a chance to try this now it was free; here are my areas that I suggest it could be better:
1. The tutorials for this are very dry & absent of engagement. No one wants to learn, "how many rocks, or twigs to build a stone scrub hatchet".
2. Creative mode is only good if you understand how to interact with the build menu to it's full creative potential. I played this game for 14 hours so far, the first 8 were spent trying to use the voxel tool to seal stolen cars in the game, and essential do what I've practiced many years in, "Grand Theft Auto" doing. Respraying them, investing more money than the value of the car, uno, the usual fair. I didn't even realize in creative mode you could lose the scrub where, and dress however the h e double-hockey sticks you want. . . (yeah, the game doesn't have the same liberally free vocabulary as GTA). You might say, " [CENSORED] Yogurt Cup [CENSORED] borgar with extra [CENSORED] and pickles".
3. I did 4 hours of smoothing, adding, removing, painting, 1/10 of an area the size of Rhode Island, and the background of destroyed, floating bricks just made me feel sad. It's like when your mum told you as a kid to go bring your favorite toy truck to play with in the public sandbox, but there's disregarded Bonk cans, scraps of broken toys all over the place, sand outside of the play area that needs to be put back in. Public servers with open sandbox are just that. So I took a pennisula, which isn't as cool as an island as a pirate base, given there were 3 unfinished boat hulls stacked vertically like a heavy sandwich, sitting in the waters.
4. What I built was nice, but not knowing how to remove bricks, I had to improvise. You'd think that was a n easy task; go look up my profile, you'll see I have over a thousand hours in Space Engineers, with some designs I was proud enough to snapshot & share. My skull cave seemed uneven, and hard to distinguish. The cave underneath it has a small two-room facility that looks like it was pulled from team fortress 2 well, but imperfect in beauty. I solve practical problems, but spending of hours in a dark unlit cave trying to finish something with Halloween music is [CENSORED] dang dag-nabit!
The lighthouse on top of the skull cave wasn't as smooth and round like the one on the start page of the game. Very square, the red/tinge spiral pattern was anything but even, and I couldn't get the lights to work, because I didn't know how. I threw serveral torches in there and it made it competent enough in a dark rainy setting, so that ship at sea would see the top of it, if not the coast : plausible. I preceded to build wooden docks to complement the look of an organized coastline; I built a 2 cannon bastion as well. I was most proud of the functional look with the added barrels, crates, tropical plants & palms, I even got a pair of lanterns on both docks to see where they were at night.
5. Despite what I did accomplish, have to mess with voxels, bricks that didn't line up right, it was just not quite the game I was looking for. I did take pictures of what I did, but I think in memory is where Ylands needs to be for me. I stayed up until 4 a.m. not realizing I was pounding sand so hard the first night; it messed with my head. I would say some of what the others have said about it being a cash grab, it's possible, I just felt trying it for free first made sense to see if it would be one I would want to play.

In short, it needs more polish, a little more attention to making learning it easier. I understand this is made by the same company that brought you ARMA; only so many people will play ARMA that understand it. Even then, I only played sandbox maps that I created; facing off creatures of the night with a pump-action shotgun, a Ford E-series box van as a faithful steed, on the roof of a Taco Bell. When you can do that and have a good time, it's great. Lazy developers that put in the beginning effort, and swap sales tactics to make easy money, get what they deserved. . . .not easy money, but an uninteresting game, that doesn't appeal as it did before. Next game title you produce, sell it as-is; all content in the game, comprehensive tutorials so everyone can learn it easy, and updates are just that: no downloadable content packages to buy.

You know, all I can say after trying this game for 72 minutes (they will claim 2.1 hours), that this is a game to beware of.

I am an adult gamer, I understand the risk from what others mentioned about this game, $15 seemed somewhat innocent.
Did I indulge myself in the bountiful harvest of discounted DLC? I did, but with my basket having the 1.99, 2.99 variety of a couple of engines. Because sure, you trust a front page Steam ad that this is a safe developer to purchase from. And at least one $6.99 DLC that did work as promised, the Durango, Leadville, & Colorado steam old timer.

D.L.&C., that was the only DLC that loaded for me. I didn't spend much, but then again, when you're sold a bad batch of goods for system specs that your system is superior to, you need to say something.

"Great Northern F7 Big Sky Blue Add-on Livery"; I know you will uphold your rule of never refunding DLCs, because this isn't Walmart where once worn underwear can get a refund. I also know it was in the bargin bin for a couple bucks, but uno, I think the fact the game wouldn't let me play with it at all, or pretended that I didn't have it, I think you can humor me Jay, and be a good sport about that. I don't have to make noise about it, but the more that are aware of this, will only make your problems stack higher like compound interest.

I have a 2019 computer that had the latest graphics card, the best fiber internet service, and suddenly my system doesn't operate correctly.

My external disc drive will randomly auto-play the holiday songs of three wise men I've had in there since Christmas; Frankie, Deano, & Sammy. . . . I am not bothered by my high sense of good taste, it's the feeling that it never played whenever it felt like it. I am running virus scan as I write this review, a mild suggestion.

I can only imagine a little kid that enjoys trains, seeing this sale festival of trains getting excited they could even afford to now play the core game. I would like to show the 72 minutes of footage from the player.me recordings I had when I timed this game review, they are fragmented from the frequent fatal errors, crashes, and restarts. I have a youtube channel of the same name that I post reviews pretty much of games that I LIKE. So no, even if I could get it to upload, it would not be a positive review, it would be highlighting what I've been telegraphing to the audience. At least with Lionel's, "Double Crossing", you had fun as a family with a product that was true to it's word, as being of the Snydley Whiplash aura of..."anti-villain"? At least he makes the opera cape look good, possibly a misunderstood character that needs his own movie, about being unfairly chased by the ruthless authorities of Canada; I digress.

No kid should feel perplexed, or feel cheated from not being to be able to play with a toy train.

$10, $20, you can start collecting simple freight cars, many new and in the box off eBay. Maybe $25 to $50 for an engine that runs well and has been tested. I mentioned to someone else as a joke that instead of taking out a second mortgage to collect every DLC, I spent $40 for an orange and White 8030 Illinois Central. Is it a line I know anything about? No, but I liked the train and got a promised delivery of goods. You have kids? They will remember a physical toy train and the time they spent with you more than whatever this is.

There, I wore my heart on my sleeve, yet it would be more fitting if I collected the Seaboard line...

I would encourage the students of Team League, to continue to polish their skills. This is a far better start then some indie titles I've played personally, most were flash based, but didn't have the level of detail for hooking the audience.

+ I like the variety of music, the volume was about right.
+ The grit, and urban genre; 'The Naked City" (1948), pushed forward a century.
+ Models are unique to the characters they represent, and the dialog given
+ You're teaching the RIGHT value of offering a complete game for the price, and avoiding the seedy underbelly of many
mainstream monopoly men; the D.L.C. - or - Debit, Loan, or Credit is accepted.

I would look at leaving this game as it is, and using it as a learning tool to build on. Not just for tomorrow's projects, but for those that play this, and see the intrigue of making something of their own.

- 2 of your robotic droid waiters collide, and make it difficult to pass the narrow hallway , so the protagonist can progress.

I had been paying attention to this game for a month, when I decided I want to support the developers work. I want to see this project succeed, where others have not, that 's why I see this as an investment toward the future.
1. I've found that they respond quickly to the needs of the community as a whole, and work issues better than some recent AAA game companies I've tried.
2. "MYUSUALME", had done a well-rounded, thoughtful, and detailed exploration of this game. It was because of his efforts, and his posse, that made me decide to get involved making this game a well polished experience for everyone to enjoy.
3. Crafting, survival, hunting, fishing, cooking, horticulture, many life skills can be learned from participating in this.
I am recommending this game. It's a game I was able to pick up and go. It doesn't hold your hand crossing the street like mainstream titles like, "Call of the Field", or "Battle Duty", the stuff of legends, or flippindingdong.

Pros: Here's 3 reasons why I think this game is worth a spin : First, there is no wrong way to play; many unique ways to solve a problem, no time limit, re-play ability depending on your creative nature, and critical thinking skills. Second, you are not limited by the default vehicles. You can subscribe to different models you like in the workshop for free, where as any other platform would have you grind hard, or pay money for a cosmetic. Lastly, you can have a casual game with any of your friends. You need not solve a situation alone; a good friend will spectate as you get stuck in the mud, a great friend will be stuck in the mud with you, as well as the friend he was winched to, who was also winched to the other, other friend, who was winched to the total noob who got them all stuck in the first place.

Cons: Need some variation in the lighting, and sound effects. Example: the horn button should blow as long as you hold the button, and many of the trucks have the same tone of horn, so it becomes boring. The climate should reflect the map; weather for a snowy map, should have the possibility of a light snow in the forecast for levity, like in Siberia. An autumn breeze on the mountain roads in Kazakhstan , should have multi-color golden leaves that brush past as you drive by. Or, if you going to enjoy a traditional English summer day in London....it should be profusely raining in a downpour, with overcast skies. I do enjoy the selection of new maps being produced by the community, I would encourage them to try some strange new worlds they haven't thought of before. I mentioned Kazakhstan, why not some of rolling hills and birch trees of Yugoslavia, the green fields and pines of Belarus, or if you enjoy your truck losing teeth as a result of eating rocks for breakfast, why not the MANY mountain roads of Afghanistan? The only other suggestion I could make, lighting, could include more rotating beacons, strobes, or, if I ask super polite, a spotlight that can be controlled. I've seen some mod trucks have the spotlight, but it only points straight ahead. Why not make it a feature to move it 180 degrees, up, or down? That I'd like to see, as well as working spot lights on the log crane. Last, the driver. I know he's a default character, but it's not like he should look like an NPC. I wouldn't want to be an NPC anyway...I wanted to be a lumberjack! LEAPING from tree to tree, as I float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia! The GIANT Redwood! The Larch, the Fir! The mighty Scots-Pine! The smell of fresh cut timber, the crash of mighty trees! With my best girlie by my side, we'd sing, SING, sing!
