Hit a dude with a bike. Had to go on an hour long detour, climb over a mountain, and nearly get dragged into black goo 6 times, to drag the dead body to an incinerator before it nuked the region.

I'm now a pacifist forever.

FromSoft at its finest. But people really need to level their Vigor, can't help them fight bosses if they keep getting one-shot.

Homeworld 3 has many good elements. It has the gameplay, scenarios, and modern graphics that I hoped for when I backed the crowdfunding campaign. That gets it my recommendation.

However, just like many other reviews, the story of the campaign is a massive step down from previous Homeworld games. Gone is the grand scope, in with the theatre drama and character cutscenes that can't quite escape the uncanny valley. The villain is downright cartoony in her mannerisms. It's odd since even the relatively recent Deserts of Kharak got all this right.

Early Access Review
Promising start for next-gen Arma, but there's not a lot of content as of yet.

Amazing game that creates a large-feeling world with limited resources.

A modern classic without equal.

An indie Shadow of the Colossus. Nails the colossus fights I'd say, each with unique designs, interesting 'puzzles' and epic presentation. The rest of the game does have its issues though. Traversal and combat can be quite janky. Especially combat with humanoid enemies feels like it just could've been left out, the animations are poor and it just doesn't feel very satisfying. The survival-craft mechanics add a bit to the feel of the game but also add tedium. Protagonist character is kinda generic and could've used some facial animations at least. Music is serviceable but nothing special.

All in all this game is quite the achievement. Looking forward to what the devs will do next.

The very essence of a roguelike, with mystery in every corner of the world, but also frustratingly so. The most minor mistake can end a multi-hour run. I can definitely recommend installing some mods to make early game less of a slog and more likely to bear fruit (so things like health drops, starting perks, and always having the tinker-everywhere perk).

Same setup as FTL, where you and your trusty spaceship jump from encounter to encounter trying to survive the roguelike misfortunes. Biggest difference being the combat has a bigger tactical focus with you sending squadrons across a hex grid battlefield. On top of that there's more of an overarching story with twists and turns, divided in chapters. Nothing too award winning, and some encounters that play out the same way repeat at some stage, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Early Access Review
It's one of those early access games that can't be ruined later on, since it's already amazing.
