amazing game that is now held hostage by sony. have no interest in creating a psn account to play a game on my pc. Sony also has a very troubling history of user data theft in the past.

So. I downloaded this game solely for the purpose of writing this review to warn anyone who is interested in this game to NOT GET IT!! I have played this game through Wargaming(wargambling) launcher for nearly 5 years. At it's core, it's a really great idea. However, this company might be the most predatory company when it comes to lootboxes and monetization that I have ever seen. They are on par, if not WORSE than most mobile game companies. Please do a quick search online of wargaming and their recent scandals and blatant scams that they have pushed onto their player base. This game straight up encourages people to gamble. It does not tell you what the reward odds are. It will have "typos" in the lootbox descriptions to make you think you are guaranteed a certain reward, only for them to edit the description later, saying you have a chance. Please please please spend your hard earned money on a game that actually is built for enjoyment and not to rob you blind. And I havent even gotten to current state of balance and matchmaking of the game, but I cant tell you, it is nonexistent. Again, quickly google up this company and this game. There is so much evidence showing how awful this game as been ran.

Its a solid shooter that CAN be really fun. HOWEVER, if you do not play it regularly or if you are new and never played it before, I cant recommend it. The learning curve is insanely steep and the player base is pretty much made up of players who have a lot of experience in this game and they will kick your butt. If you are willing to play hundreds of hours to catch up, then by all means, go nuts. But dont get the game thinking youre going to have a good time right off the bat, cause you wont. It's insanely punishing

PLEASE ignore the recent negative reviews. This is a fantastic game. If you are new and have never played this game before, all of the negative reviews on 1.0 wont apply to you at all. The "differences" they are talking about have a very small effect on the over all game. There is an amazing mix of stealth, strategy, and straight chaos, as well as very solid FPS mechanics. The micro transactions are for cosmetics only, and extra character slots. (you already start with 4, which is plenty) The only "negative" aspect of the game, is that you really need at least one other person to play the game with. But that's about it. Try the game out. You will not regret it.
