It's the game of my life. I've been playing this for 30 years and don't intend to stop as long as my heart keeps pumping. It's that good!

One of the best dungeon crawlers in history, the finale of a decade long saga, and one of the few fantasy & scifi mixing settings.

I'm playing this for about 30 years. That's enough said. Next to Quake I don't think there's a more important game in FPS history.

You don't lose your save after the browser purges cookies after an upgrade (sic!). Just the cloud save is worth the money for this version.

Despite missing the expansions, this version has some good things about it. Like proper FOV for widescreen monitors and good gamepad support.

People are complaining how modern games put too much on a map, that they want to do some exploration on their own instead. Come and play Kholat, you get a semi-accurate map, a compass (labeled in Russian, so it's not too casual), and no map marker showing where you are. Go and explore to your heart's content! :-)

A mix of Civilization with XCOM and a dash of cRPG sprinkled on top, all set in a high fantasy setting.

With all the silliness, this part gets surprisingly serious near the end.

Gets the job done quite nicely. Works ok for turn strategy games and point&click adventure, while not being super comfortable, it allows to play those with a gamepad.

This game got unfairly bashed in reviews back when it came out. Playing it for the first time in 2018, I found it tries to do a lot of stuff that we take for granted in todays games. Not everything goes smoothly for U2 though, but overall it's an enjoyable game. Not super, not comparable to U1 (totally different gameplay), but quite good on it's own none the less.
