Similar to Star Realms, so easy enough to ramp up on, but busier. Gameplay: Draw hand of five cards, play combat and currency, acquire new cards. Try to get complementary cards that feed of each other's abilities. Good for quick game sessions between other tasks.

Good version of the tabletop card game. Easy to learn and play. Works well on iPad and the same user profile can be used whether on desktop or mobile, so play wherever! Nice that the individual DLCs are relatively cheap and the game matching system accounts well for their presence or absence.

Good playing experience with only minor UI quibbles. Seems like the AI might get predictable eventually, but it's strong enough to give learning players a challenge at least.

There's an long-outstanding issue with in-game achievements being displayed over and over again without any way to prevent them, but that's an annoyance only.

Good capture of the Memoir '44 gameplay without the inconvenience of piece fiddling. Need for purchased credits for online play, though, is somewhat unappealing.

Hexcells is a unique logic puzzle where you identify the content of cells via rules of inclusion and exclusion. It very much resembles an evolved form of Minesweeper on a hex grid, but with much better gameplay. Minor quibbles: Puzzles can't be saved in the middle, so if you have to quit you must restart the current puzzle. A bit on the short side, but the price is very low so that evens out. Highly recommended.

Long ago, in the early days of 3D accelerators, a game was made from the concept of playing a soccer-type game while riding a rocket-propelled vehicle. That game was "Rocket Jockey", and it's long gone, but this - its spiritual successor - remains and has been a success for years.

Rocket League is a great game, for both online and solo play - but it obviously is heavily geared toward online multiplayer. If you're on the fence, hop off and hop into a rocket car now. You'll be glad you did.

Cute! Nice little game. Not really checkers per se. The pieces have different special powers. Other than that it's a physics-based knock-em-out-of-the arena type game. Well worth the price (under two bucks in the Summer Sale).
