A fun, short and invigorating shooter that doesn't hold your hand.

Early on, I was sceptical if i was going to enjoy this game. I was being popped in the head so quick it would scare me for a second. But once I started to take my time and wait for my chance to engage, I found that the experience was worth every minute I put into it. The guns feel great to use and the jamming mechanic is a great way to keep you focused.

Don't go in expecting the greatest gun-sim game, but go in expecting a great game nonetheless.

A flawed but otherwise fun game that has so many rough ages you could easily mistake it for a small diamond in the rough.

The main roguelite campaign system is fun enough to return to every so often but its multiplayer component is truthfully much more enjoyable, as most co-op shooters tend to be. While the story isn’t anything to write home about it keeps itself from being too bad with its charming campiness straight out of a B-movie from the 80s or 90s.

Gunplay is fine enough. Weapons feel alright to shoot and don’t feel like you’re blasting enemies down with rubber bullets all too much. Even with the updates, adding a few new variants of weapons, the arsenal is nothing sensational but is serviceable and reliable to boot.

Performance for me was the worst issue by far, where even lowering the graphics to minimum could make up for the choppy frames. This has improved over time with updates but if your machine is a lot older than the usual set up nowadays you may struggle to keep it up above 40-50 fps.

Ultimately, with everything given here, the game is no GOTY contender but still stands in a league of its own. It’s a fun coop shooter, the story is cheesy and has the hallmarks of a low budget flick you would find at a video rental store and the people who do continue to genuinely care about the game will most likely continue to sing its praises wherever and whenever they may be along the road. I’ll be keeping an eye on its progress and hopefully will be hopping back on soon with the following updates.

If you are looking for a game to fill that odd Payday 3 shaped hole you have in you, this probably won’t fill it but most likely will suffice and satiate those coop looter shooter needs

An incredible experience, through and through. Amazing visual direction, interesting puzzle designs and a story you genuinely should experience for yourself from start to finish.
