If the launch issues and weird nuances that made the game impossible to play online weren't enough - they decide to basically dive into a PR disaster with PSN and disallowing half the planet from being able to play the game. Guess they already got their money but I will never buy another product from Arrowhead Game Studios ever again. Nuke the studio because it's done.

Early Access Review
Manor Lords is a city builder at its core that offers limited but fun combat options for those looking to form an army. Create homesteads, engineer towns and develop them into thriving cities by managing resources and the flow of production while maintaining the happiness of your citizens. While you can create an army and go out and other conquest regions, or contest them from the AI enemy, aka the Baron, combat isn't the focus here. It is a city sim. A very fun and gorgeous city sim. It's still a work in progress as it is still in early access, but the game has fantastic bones and is off to a great start. Considering it is only being developed by one person, the game is beyond impressive. This game has the potential to be one of the best PC city builders ever made.

Early access ratings: Overall 9/10
Atmosphere and Graphics: 9/10
UI and Game Systems: 10/10
Building mechanics: 9/10
Immersive feel: 8/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Replay factor: 7/10
Excitement for the future development: 10/10

This game is really, really bad online. It can be fun with a little solo play, but online is unplayable. Avoid this game if you are looking for a competitive online experience. The net code is absolute trash. Meaning packet loss, lag, and overall a horrible experience for any type of competitive play. Online 1/5 - Solo 3/5. It's worth about $15 on sale, no more though.

Honest review: 3/10

Game suffers from massive annoying issues that make you quit playing out of frustration.
Played past the 3 hour mark and I regret it. I should have been watching the time. Now I'm out of the ability to refund it.

It's okay though. I will avoid buying products from these developers again.

Major Gripes
-Glitchy
-Not intuitive
-More frustrating than it is fun because of the wonky physics and horrible mechanics
-Lost two knives by them falling behind my main station table. No way to retreive them. Knives cost $300 each. Why not just allow the knives to respawn?
-More annoying to play than rewarding

Minor gripes
-No wide screen support
-No Borderless Window'd mode
-UI looks like it came from a game out of 1998
-Overpriced ($20) for what it is. This thing should cost $5 bucks.

Easily the best game I have played in probably a decade. Maybe even longer. Deserves game of the year - and Larian Studios deserves a standing ovation for what they have done here. A true masterpiece of an RPG.

A message to the devs: Thank you for caring about making quality games and please never change.

Fun game. Reminds me of COH:1.
Wasn't a fan of COH:2.

Good times so far. Like it.

The game crashes both when attempting to launch the game and when playing the actual game itself.

1. Game crashes when simply trying to launch it. I had to google a workaround in order to simply get it to load up correctly after hitting the "Play" button. The trick, apparently, is to "Alt - TAB" while it launches, then to click on the task tray - and thereafter the game works.

2. Or so you would think. After turn 5 in a campaign - i tried to assign a governor to one of my cities. As soon as I hit the check mark to accept his new assignment...the game straight crashed straight to the desktop.

I can't recommend this game as is. Way too many bugs in my very limited experience playing it. I requested a full refund to my steam account. I have played just about every single total war game created in the last fifteen years. Never had this type of experience from one of the TW products before.

Highly avoid this game.

Its like League Of Legends but unlike League it actually takes skill to play well.
