Little Inferno is the kind of game you would first consider rather boring. You basically have sets of (very) different items (from dolls to nukes), which you drag to your fireplace, ignite them and watch them burn to ashes. Boring, right? Nope. Firstly, the physics are very well done. Secondly, you have to find 99 hilarious combos to progress, which are only hinted by cryptic names. Then, almost every single item (there are 100+ in total) has its own dedicated special "effect" when burned down, from emitting sausages (yes, sausages) over really nice color and sound effects to gravitational ones, where other items circle around a mini-planet.

I almost forgot the most important thing: Throughout the entire game runs a storyline, which is first funny and later dramatic, until the fantastic ending where the game fully reveals its - very deep and philosophical - message.

TL;DR: Definitely recommended, not only to pyromaniacs.

Well... it's Quake, some of you might have heard of it at some point... 1996, you know... id software... actual 3D FPS... strafejumping and stuff... Ah, damn, this is one of the best games ever, a timeless classic, and now even enhanced visually, 25 years after its original release. And among all the remasters which flooded the market in 2021, this one is definitely the best. Ah, did I tell you already that even a whole new, pretty gorgeous episode got added? Happened actually, not kidding.

TL;DR: Get this game!

I started playing id Software titles when I was 11 years old and W3D got released. Since then I bought every DOOM title on release day / preordered it, and I loved all of them - including this one.A bit too much of jumping and gliding for my personal taste, but nonetheless a pretty good game. 9,5 / 10 I would have said - until "Update 1" got released.

I never had any issues with the fact that this game uses Denuvo anti-tamper or that it connects to Bethesda's servers. But this obnoxious piece of software called "Denuvo anti-cheat", which has been introduced - without mentioning this in the initial EULA - on May 14, 2020 is something entirely different. It's a ring 0 kernel driver that runs with highest security privileges, both in SP (Denuvo lied about that) and in MP - and basically has more control over your OS than you. At this point we see for the first time that Denuvo is a worthy heir of good old SecuROM, same dirty hooks, same level of being intrusive, etc.

But the main problem is - this "anti-cheat" method does no longer let me play my legit 90€ game, neither SP, nor MP as both modi crash after ~5 seconds. Not to mention that my entire pc stays in frozen state for about 15 minutes after such a "quick shutdown".

I would have yelled "Yeah guys, buy this jewel only 48 hours ago, but now I can only strongly recommend you to not touch this ... steam app and to not support the forceful implementation of kernel drivers which weren't part of the EULA we all accepted.

The spoiler contains my initial review, which was a highly negative one due to the implementation of Denuvo anti-cheat software without having mentioned this in the EULA. Now, after even an "only-money-counts" company like Bethesda (the ones to blame for the whole disaster and for forcing id Software to lie multiple times about exactly this point) actually understood they went too far and removed the software in question entirely I'm happy to change my review status to "Absolutely recommended" (not only) for any DOOM fan. Despite the fact that the parkouring elements are something completely new to the series and won't be appreciated by everyone (incl. myself), DOOM Eternal stays true to its roots and delivers a fast-paced and gory FPS experience which is simply great from the very start to the very end. The game is almost perfectly optimized (like DOOM 2016 was) and runs smoothly not only on high-end rigs, the soundtrack is fantastic and the amount of customization options is just impressive. 9,5 / 10 I'd say, many thanks again to id Software for yet another masterpiece!

Thank you very much for reading!

When I first read this game would be about "throwing cows" I was like "What? The devs must have been drunk", but when I saw an actual ingame video and a few screenshots, I got interested. Despite puzzle-platformer definitely not being my favorite games this game attracted me by the fact that you could see the love the devs put into it - and the super-cute cows. ;)

So I bought it to test if my intuition has been correct, and it actually has. The game is simply awesome (says a guy who mainly plays "old" FPS classics like Wolfenstein 3D, The Ultimate Doom, etc) in every single aspect: The graphics are designed meticulously detailed building up the "right" atmosphere fitting to the fairy-tale (literally) like story (which is quite fun, but still has its deep moments), the ambient music intensifies the immersion still more. The two main characters (three, if you include the queen of cows ;) ) are just lovable and absolutely unique among all the many games I played in my life.

Regarding the actual gameplay: As I mentioned, the game can be described as "puzzle-platformer", whereby the focus of the game is on the various different puzzle elements the it offers. These start pretty easy, but will soon require more and more logical thinking about how to use the environment and the possible interactions between the two main protagonists to achieve your goal, which eventually is - throwing cows, in a quite satisfying way. And with this, the circle has been closed.

I definitely recommend this game to everyone interested in puzzle-platformers or simply well-made games which require rather brain power than good reflexes - and to all people loving cows, of course. ;)

An indie game with a great art style and interesting mechanics, looking easy first, but getting pretty challenging later. I can sincerely recommend this game for people of all ages, not just for children as the look may imply.

This game might be actually called an adventure, but "jokes" and "puns" used here MUST never be called cynical - neither ironical, nor sarcastic to make it even more clear. 90% of the "funny stuff" you get confronted with looks like a quite silly 14-year old guy has written the script and the dialogues: Jokes about excrements, genitals, and similar things dominate the game, the story is infconsistent and the characters do not have any kind of depth. I got this game for free so I do not complain at all, but on the other hand I wouldn't recommend spending actual money on it.

The game is a little gem in the dungeon crawler genre, one of the best I ever played and more than on a par with well-known games like Legend of Grimrock I+II or Might & Magic X Legacy. It has everything it "should" have in my opinion: Easy-to-learn controls, good graphics, an awesome soundtrack, nicely designed levels and puzzles, a balanced combat system and overall, a great atmosphere, I can highly recommend this game to anyone who likes spending hours in classic dungeon crawlers, and seriously, it's by far more worth than the 10 bucks it costs.

Early Access Review
Born in the early 80's I grew up with classic games like "Gradius", "R-Type" and "Parodius", and I played the hell out of those on my consoles back then. That being said it's understandable that I got pretty interested in "XNemesis SandBox" when stumbling across the trailer some weeks ago - interested enough to buy the game in the end. And luckily, I don't have to regret the decision to spend 7 bucks on it, since this game is a more than worthy successor of the aforementioned titles. It's

- innovative
- looking decent
- well optimized
- diverse
- cheap regarding the high-quality stuff you get

To conclude, I recommend this game to everyone who's even just slightly into this type of games, you'll get lots of challenging fun for your money!

It may look like a small, minimalistic game, yes, its author even called it so... but it's much more: It's a pretty entertaining game, with easy to learn basics, but hard to master levels... Challeging, exactly in a way that it doesn't kill the fun, sometimes brain-twisting, but ALWAYS good! A little gem, a masterpiece, seriously!

I'll keep it short: This game is an awesome driving simulation, maybe the best one ever created. It's realistic, varied, it looks pretty good - and most importantly: It makes plenty of fun! Simply an impressive experience, I recommend this game to anyone out there who has even the slightest interest in driving simulators! 10 / 10
