I can only recommend this game by also saying that it is both very early, and very indie. As was mentioned in some of the other reviews, it has some glaring issues. It is in dire need of a UI rework, and really basic control changes. Its so easy to accidentally press something and delete something, spend some money on an upgrade you didn't mean to start, and open menus while trying to do something else. The AI has been lacklust but not completely unresponsive. I had a particularly enjoyable scramble to colonize the moon when the Ai kept sending more colonists in response to me sending more colonists.

I think there is a better game than meets the eye, with a lot of interesting features, including what seems like the intention of user added content like maps and scenarios. Unfortunately all that goodness is currently extremely hard to access, hidden behind a hard to navigate UI, with a lack of clear information.

Edit: definitely have to come and add a comment to my review. The dev has been super responsive to the community, and been working to fix these things at a refreshing pace. In an industry where companies go dark for months, or fire the entire dev team for a game and leave it on the store in EA, it's a very nice contrast. It's been less than a week and most of the things in my review that were negative have been acknowledged and addressed to at least a minor degree. Its also had a noticeable amount of bug squashing which also doesn't always happen with early access. So all around things have been going in a positive direction and i hope that it is able to keep doing so, and realizing the potential of this game. Because it has all the makings of something great.
