Roguelike inspired, tempered in the heat of DotA and a thousand Flash games. Flamebreak is pure combat, builds, items, synergy. You'll love the things you come up with: the inventiveness of your killing power.

Quick in and quick out. Perfect for satisfying that character progression itch on short notice.

An excellent game that teaches as much as it entertains. Granted France conquering the Iberian peninsula and Great Britain, or Poland creating the Commonwealth and dominating the Ottoman Empire didn't happen; but any EUIV player will be able to point to Albania and Azerbaijan on a map, and know the difference between the Balkans and the Baltic.

The game is deep enough to be rewarding, but simple enough to be the game I always end up launching even after a long day at work.

I've been burned by early access enough to turn off to it categorically. I didn't much care for The Binding of Isaac or Rogue Legacy.

But I saw this and had to have it. This is my jam.

Strongly recommended to any fans of Mega Man, especially Mega Man X4, X5. Captures that feeling perfectly, while introducing replayability in level generation and character development mechanisms.

Worth the price tag for me, even in-progress.

I drew some enjoyment out of this game but that doesn't mean I recommend it. In fact, I do not recommend this game.

The best summary I can think of is this: "Things go poorly and people die."

This is a game about being uncomfortable and frustrated, facing the harsh reality that enthusiasm and hope do not produce sucess. You will run out of food, and will have to decide who goes hungry. You will run out of medicine, and must triage your party to determine who should survive a failed hunt or even a spider bite. You will lose combat encounters because you are consistently outnumbered and have only the same options and attributes your enemy does.

The caveat is that despite all of your failings, the game will rarely, if ever, hand you a simple game over. Enthusiasm and hope may not produce success, but tenacity comes close. In the end, though, success in Expeditions: Conquistador won't look like traditional video game success. It will look like you failed forward with some unknown force preventing your necrotic body and hollow spirit from simply dying and escaping this hell.

To reiterate and elaborate: I do not recommend this game. But, if you read all the above and still want to experience limbo and/or eternal damnation in the form of Spanish Conquistadors exploring Hispaniola and Mexico, by all means go ahead and purchase the game.

This is the best game.

I did not complete the game, so I may have missed the "fun." Fallout 2 is worse than its predecessor, which I was at least able to play to completion. This game is far too difficult and it has ceased to be worth my time to play well.

Best bro-op RPG.

First timer playing this game from 1988 in 2014, so my review isn't biased by nostalgia.

As with any old game, you'll need to spend time figuring out what to do though the game comes with several guides that will expedite your experience. You could also consult wasteland.wikia.com for additional help. A particularly useful section is the weapons section, which covers weapon damage and other details that aren't available in game.

Once you understand the control scheme and what options you have the game is solid, and still holds up today.

The game is difficult and doesn't hold your hand.

You won't know what's going on (if you don't read) but it's an excellent game regardless. A variety of builds and playstyles are accommodated through stat building and loadout customization. From melee to assault to heavy weapons to sniping, the bases are covered here. You could even dirty another person's hands by hacking them and forcing them to do your will -- or just have them self destruct.

It's like Half Life 2 mixed with Killing Floor and Deus Ex.
