Beautifully simplistic. Highly recommended on sale. 8.5/10.

The game offers a clever colour-matching mechanic for the core concept, which is a fun twist on the puzzle genre with a beautiful silhouetted art style and soundtrack to match. The game deserves its plaudits.

There isn't much in difficulty until the later levels other than the odd some-what quick colour shifting, by that time you've collected all or at least most of the colours and are a good chunk past the half-way stage of the game. Even those later levels are unlikely to keep you thinking for too long.

There is something enjoyable about the games simplicity however, its a relaxing experience that allows you to just enjoy the clever mechanics and charming platform puzzles it has to offer.

The story is a pleasant little tale that accommodates the chill puzzle experience nicely, this isn't an intense heart thumping game or thriller story, its a beautifully crafted and well presented casual play. In for a more calm gaming night? Make a cup of something warm and enjoy what Hue delivers.

Expect roughly 7-10 hours of game play to complete (closer to 10 with all collectables).

Only cons:
Short and no real replayability (but for a sale price under £5, who can complain??)
Lack of real challenge

Multiplayer review. Halo is fun. Much enjoy. 7/10 overall.

The best multiplayer on Halo since Halo 3, but it's odd, it's not at all like Halo 3's multiplayer, which in my opinion is still superior. It's found a nice balance between what we all know and love in Halo 3 and modern, faster paced FPS' games. It's not as chaotic and pacey as other modern Halo releases, and it's far from perfect, but a balance is definitely being established.
8.5/10 game play.

UI is fantastic for the most part, doesn't get in the way and easy to see when needed, though the radar/mini-map needs to be changed back to its original range. The menus are ok, nothing special, nothing terrible. Clearly been designed with consoles in mind which is fair enough, but it's just average, brings the UI score down a little.
7.5/10 UI & Menu.

Maps are decent, with a couple feeling like classic Halo maps. Behemoth, Aquarius and Highpower being standouts, top tier for sure, you can just feel how game play was the priority in these 3 maps design's. There are none that are truly bad, but some are just lacking in area's which can result in negative impacts on the game play, such as edge hugging because the middle is a just a cluster ♥♥♥♥ and lengthy choke points (CP's should be short and decisive, not grindy). The big battle maps are crying out for a larger, more epic scale and vehicles are crying out for far more space to play in! All the big battle maps feel big, but are ultimately cut down with large pieces of terrain meaning that the majority of the action takes place in tightly packed lanes or corridors. Behemoth 9.5/10. Aquarius 9/10. Highpower 8.5/10.
7.5/10 for maps overall.

As always the music, announcer voice, impact audio and badge reward audio in Halo is top notch, almost an audiophiles dream. However some of the more important game play sounds, such as shots, bouncing grenades and footsteps are horribly inconsistent. Sometimes I can hear things no problem, other times I don't even hear a point blank enemy, right behind me, missing melee hits or firing over my should at allies, it's insane. Again the overwhelming majority I play with have said the exact same thing. Fix these and its 9/10 easy. But audio issues that impact game play is a massive hit on the rating.
7.5/10 audio.

The character customisation is seriously cool, but how these are unlocked or attained is far from what most people expected and far from what most people find fun. I think we all wish some more could be unlocked via game play. Unlocking some customisation for achieving a certain medal, number of medals, achievement, kill number, win number etc... This is something a lot of modern games seem to leave behind and needs to comeback! Halo would be fantastic for this and I really do hope we get to see it some day. I'd love to dress my Spartan up in my "Odd One Odd Ball" skin or helm, with a skeletal appearance and a weird Oddball glow. The customisation is really broken down into parts which is essential for good customisation. Shoulders are not a sets but each individually applied, meaning they can be different which allows for a lot of unique combinations which is fantastic. The overall designs are cool, but could be better and certainly could be unlocked/attained in a more engaging and fun manner. I'm sure more are to come, but for now it's being held down how they are.
7/10 Customisation.

Game Stability/Connection - See below. Frame rates, even on low end PC's, seem consistent and generally are smooth and enjoyable, even when clustered and chaotic. This holds the score up for this category tremendously, especially when I know some really low end PC's are able to run this how they do. Crashes and high ping matches are hideous though, not plagued, but unacceptable.
5/10.

Overall I'm enjoying Halo Infinite's Multiplayer, it's going to take many hours from me for sure! It's just not Halo 3 and it's got some work needed before it goes down as one of the best or become a classic.

There are some big drawbacks for me however.
1st - The crashes, in a game that is set for a full release in less than 2 weeks, is unacceptable. I don't know a single person I've play with who hasn't had multiple crashes, regardless of platform, console, high end (& low end) PC, Steam, Xbox App...the lot.
2nd - Multiplayer matchmaking desperately needs the option to choose the servers or regions you want to play in when searching for matches. Turn it off if you want to play with someone long distance, but for normal Match Making it has to be an option. I'll take a long queue over an unplayable latency laden fest of a match, any day of the week. Connecting to further away servers may not happen too often, but you know when it has happened, before you even check the connection.
3rd - The progression in the battle pass is a little too painful, I love halo, but this feels like it's going to take me 200+ hours to complete and that's whilst even dedicating some of my matches to hitting the challenges. Some people, including most of who I know, simply don't think they will have or give Halo the time required to 100% the battle pass at its current rate. We have lives and believe it or not, other games we want to play as well.
4th - Sort the bloody game play audio out, please.

If the above 4 points were resolved, some more better designed maps (especially big battle) I'd update this review and change my score to at least an 8.5/10.

This game/series seriously needs more credit, easily one of the best I've ever played! Hope number 3 gets confirmed sometime in the future, regardless of the sale to Nordic games.
