I came into this game as a total beginner to the Total War series. I feel it is a great entry for us newbies - everything feels polished and the ability to use mods through steam workshop makes it absolutely wonderful. The tutorial is not that good - which means you have to learn through playing, use the in game encyclopedia or youtube videos.
I really recommend this to people who love strategy games!
