I was on the doorstep of the finale of the Bonus Campaign, when I decided to write this review. Not literally, I'm gonna do it over due to something I want to get, but that's not what this review is about. I was going to write the review after the main finale, but I got caught up in the story. Onto the main parts of the review.

All of the characters within Heoi have their own stories, from your team to the merchants and locals you purchase your gear from. Your team are all very interesting in their own ways. They each have strengths and weaknesses alike, both in-story and in-combat.

Pros:
+Combat is amazing as always, though certain followers gain what could be considered gamebreaking abilities later in their advancements.
+Rigger-specific, as I haven't played any other class: there is a greater variety of drones. Shotgun, sniper, whole nine yards.
+Story is very interesting. The main story, everybody's individual stories in town.
+Bonus Campaign doesn't feel thrown together, there's meat to it. I've absolutely enjoyed it, though I feel like that might be due to having played through the game multiple times, so the newness might be what's got me.

Cons:
+A bit too much dialogue and text. Not that it's a bad thing, all in all, there is just a lot of reading involved, mostly in the hub area.
+The matrix is a bit wonky, but only because the newly added stealth elements doesn't meld so well with the usually turn based gameplay. If you can figure it and the actual hacking mechanic out, you'll be good to go.

So, to end this review, the characters and story are amazing, the matrix takes a bit of getting used to, and the gameplay is entertaining if you're into turn-based games.

Now that I have completed the game, I wanted to review it. Director's Cut goes above and beyond what the original Dragonfall did. For one, a completely revamped combat system. It made the game both easier and harder. Harder because if you're out of cover or something, you will be mince meat. The same can be said about your opponents, and some AI have a tendency to sit in the open. Another point is that there are some new missions. They shed light on your fellow runners. Storyline is amazing in my opinion. There are moral greys as well as black and white, but the game doesn't really beat you over the head with what's the right choice at the time, more what may or may not be reasonable. The characters are great, your followers and the Kreuzbasar's residence all have life to them, you get to see them change as the story goes on, both subtly and in ways that you can affect. I really have no gripes, just future ideas for future games, which is what that would turn the review into. If you're looking for a turn-based RPG that'll pull you in and entertain you, this is the game for you.
