Very bad game.
Why:
- Turn based. I prefer rtwp.
- Slow camera with turn based. So game is MORE slower.
- Turn based + slow camera + randomness of dnd = reload to get into slow combat again because goblin critted.
- Slow reload times compared to D:OS2
- I'd rather play DOS2 or BG1-2 than this.
- Unbalanced damage. 30 damage level 1 cleric wtf(60 crit). Not true to the dnd rules. So it's not a great DND and not a great DOS3
- Unlikeable characters. It feels too much 2023 in terms of story, so writers were exposed to Marvel it feels like more than classic literature.
- Too much 2023 left-side dogma. Every companion character is bi. Feels like being straight is not normal nowadays, why is that and who benefits from that idk but it's obscene.
- Bad character customization. No face sliders. You are locked to picking presets. So you pick a head and try to make it not look like the head you picked. Then you need to look at your preset head and imagine roleplaying.
- Too cheasy visuals. It feels like there is no depth in characters and their appearance. Everyone looks like they are from a girl movie about romance and butterflies. It pairs poorly with the rest of the world and is shifted too much in fairy tale direction.
- Bad armor and gear design. No customization. You are locked to a preset gear look coz again it's a preset just like in DOS2.
- Game feels too much shifted towards weeb needs and feels. So you can make sexy looking anime girl that kills monsters so you can switch between monster killing and looking at your characters female features. Where the world has come I don't know. This is saddening.
- Bad writing. It's at a 5/10. Feels you are reading a belles lettres more than a serius saga.
- Bad story. It's just so uninteresting. You start on a mindflayer ship (supposed to be packed with high level loot? no?) and forced to go over this tutorial prologue witch I honestly disliked. It does not give you any options on how who and why you are playing this game so it puts you on rails straight away. Compare this to BG1 or DOS2 or Fallout starts with nice starting sandbox locations that imply you for a better character development. I hate prologue so much that I prefer not to restart the game and ultimately dont want to play it.
- I'd prefer either BG3 not from Larian or Larian to straight do another DOS game. Because this abomination is a bad Baldurs Gate game and a bad Divinity game. In DOS2 you have turn based without dnd randomness so it feels balanced in terms of time spent in each fight.
This is why I cannot recommend this game at this point, and I am not sure mods will be able to fix it, coz too much work to turn it into rtwp. The DOS2 attempt at that was a pitty one.

Complete garbage. You will not use any part of this dlc in your arma 3 playtime after you finish the campaign. Oh, the campaign.. Maybe you like to run around pressing T on a mine and listening old man rambling for hours.. I don't.

It adds ZERO value to the game.

Will it be added to KOTH? NO!
Will it see light in Wasteland? Ugh.. the van, vest and prolly the silly dumb attitude to the whole IIDUBZ faction. and mines, but we already had mines?

Will it be useful in milsim? Damn, guyz - we have the new DLC - so uh, our zeus god has mined that part of the map, if you want to, I mean, there is no action there, you can go there and do your thing.. demine the area guys, So anyone wanna go IDABZ? Noone? Ok lets move on.

Does it improve the game?
No.

Is it a money grab?
Yeah kinda. Especially considerring the campaign. How can you receive a gift of gods Operation Flashpoint, and still do not fix physics bugs that have been in the game for AGES.. DECADES! And STILL cannot produce a worthy campaign that OF had.

Shame on you.

Now that problems where addressed and more content is being added I think I can recommend this game.
