A remaster of one of the best RPGs of all time?

Just like old times, Shepard.

If The Stanley Parable had a baby, it would probably look something like this game... a depressed, lonely, angst baby.

Should you have a couple of hours to spare, you won't go far wrong trying this game. It offers a peculiar look into a person's psyche and can easily leave you feeling confused or alienated, which I suppose an intended effect of the experience.

If you're not into walking simulators (which this game sort-of is at heart), this may not be a massive game-changer for you, but what it does offer in terms of narrative is solid, and it does have enough interactive set-pieces to feel substantial game-play wise. Some of the events in the game also have interesting yet harmless effects on your computer, and I'm a bit of a sucker for games that you interact with outside of their own environment.

I can fully get the reasoning behind why people might not.. understand this game. The "genre" of these games do have a tendency to come off as a tad pretentious (I think the game even explicitly states at one point that 'Things don't have to have meaning', which rubbed off on me as the developer saying "We don't have to explain any of this because it's art and you just have to see the deeper meaning "), but that is just me being extremely picky, and hey, as these games are open to interpretation, that's just what I interpreted it as. :P

This game does have slightly disturbing / distressing themes, while I didn't feel any the worse for playing it, please give this game a try while taking care of yourself in the process.

Let's be honest, we're all just writing reviews for the badge, aren't we?

EDIT: And now we're doing it again this year it seems. Fun fun fun.
EDIT 2: You know the drill.
