The game has great ideas and potential, just not executed well and need some number adjustments.

There's too much rng in the combat, sometimes long reloading anti tank homing missiles just randomly miss without smoke cover, it can literally be life or death of the unit.
I had 2 sniper squads shooting each other across rooftops till they ran out of ammo, and did zero dmg and took zero dmg.

The defence missions are fun but the offense missions are usually not, especially when you gotta tackle an entrenched position with enemies of every weapon type and artillery in a hard to reach position, feels like you're sending troops into a meat grinder and pray to rng god that they don't randomly die in a smoke.

The campaign supply mechanic is frustrating, having to scrap or sell off 1/3 of your army after every mission just feels really bad.
Wait for some balance changes

Edit: finished the campaign after the supply mechanic nerf, felt much better being able to have multiple tanks and bradleys. But the campaign story feels rushed and unfinished, character motivations are questionable, people hating on you for no reason, and people go 180 on their character out of nowhere.

The final mission doesn't feel like anything was concluded, its like the dev just ran out of time or money and says oh well this is the last mission. The last mission map was clearly pushing the game engine to the limits, Im running 4080 rtx i7-12700K 3.61 GHz and the entire mission was running around 10fps.

The third mission in the campaign, Haven base defense was the probably the best mission, if the game sticked to smaller scale base defenses, this game would've been amazing. But as it stands, the multiplayer/skirmish is barebones with 4 maps, majority of the campaign missions were mediocre with few fun missions inbetween.

Feels like an early access game, has game breaking bugs where enemy can go invincible. Way too many loading screens going back and forth between every tiny event and the space navigation. Tons of wall of text dialogues with no voice acting. Way too many different char stats and statuses, and since most of them are different than the typical crpg ones, it's hard to tell how effective each stat is. Having to constantly spam tab and open the map to see whats interactable is bad user experience. Also the cutscenes feels clunky and unpolished, character gets shot, and 2 secs later they react to getting shot and fall, and dialogues waiting for characters to slowly walk out of the camera frame before moving on.

Edit: Finished the game after waiting for weeks of game breaking bug fix patches just so the main quest could even progress, including 90%+ of all the side content, the rest were still broken and couldn't progress. The first two chapter of the game were pretty good, and then it's all down hill from chapter 3, chapter 4 loading screen maze almost made me wanna uninstall the game, and the last chapter feels like the devs were out of time and slapped in the necrons and their planets in the last second. The class balances in the end game was completely wack where certain class can immediately one shot most bosses while other classes sit around and do tickle damage.

Pretty good game, basically a survival game with company of hero / dawn of war 2 combat gameplay.
Great music, great story.
Some minor issues with pathfinding, some troops occasionally get stuck with each other.
Scouts might be too overpowered once they unlocked their skills, they kinda just run around one shotting everything and if you have a squad of scouts they just insta kill entire patrols from stealth. Makes the other classes feel irrelevant and waste of bullets to use.

Cleared the campaign on normal in about 22 hours with most of the secondary objectives, the game is very similar to red solstice 2 with focus on stealth.

Positives:
The gameplay is fun. lots of exploration, tense moments, and tactical options.

Negatives:
The progression system for the marines and your ship(base) is a bit bland, lots of small number upgrades. Few of the missions/maps are not well made / fun, ex: the mission that clearly draws inspiration from alien isolation and the one on a hostile ship filled with small rooms and enemy patrols everywhere.
The story is meh, especially towards the end.
Not able to position individual marines makes it hard to utilize/line up certain weapon skills such as sniper/rpg
Alien patrols sometimes just instant respawns as soon as you kill them in stealth.
Game introduces a doomsday timer pretty early on even though the timer is pretty generous, so some people might hate this mechanic.
Going guns blazing can be very punishing since alerting an alien will always cause a wave of alien spawns and increase future spawns.

only ran into one bug the entire play-through where one of my marines spawns inside a shelf and couldn't get out after loading a save, had to load a earlier different save to resolve the issue.

As someone who played the ♥♥♥♥ out of warhammer 1 & 2, I cant recommend the game at the current state.
When playing on 1440p, the user inputs becomes completely misaligned with what's on screen. Its like the game input still think its on 1080p
I position my units to face one direction and they somehow 70% of the time end up facing a complete different direction.
AI somehow is way worse than before, literally suiciding units into your formation without committing them to combat so your units are just free hitting them.
Massive fps drops during battles.
Balance of power makes no sense during ambush battles, a early game ogre army somehow had 90% balance of power advantage over my caravan filled with over double the amount of mid game units

Gameplay is fun but has game breaking bugs such as objectives that cannot be completed or doesnt exist on the map. Players can be killed before even loaded in. Theres no feature to kick afk players during defense missions so you can literally get stuck in the mission unless u quit and fail the mission. Would not recommend buying till they fix these bugs.

Xcom with anime super heroes and more rpg elements, lots of story missions, all sort of wacky character builds that dramatically affect gameplay.
