Also a surprising lot of cats look more like dogs for some reason? And it's just in black&white.

I mean, if you liked the Base Game a lot and want more Lore / Bonus Content, it's a nice add.
Just keep in mind that it has no additional ingame content.

Tried it for free and didn't like it much.

If you liked the first Love is all around game by Chinese developer intiny (FMV Dating/Romance Sim, only Chinese DUB), you will probably like this prequel too.
It's far less time consuming for achievement hunters and completionists, as you don't have to get every singly possible combination anymore and some things like the room explorations are saved.
On the other hand, the English translation is at least a little, maybe even a lot worse in this instance than it was before.
Not sure why it had to be a prequel, as it dosn't really have anything at all to do with number 1 except for the protagonist and his friend Liu being in it.
looking forward to number 2, which is in development, glad these games from China come at a fair price tag.
