Decent game if you enjoy janky movement, constant interruptions, pointless quests, paper thin characters and "morale dilemmas" fit for a toddler. The main character is also so obnoxious that I had to stop playing this game.

To end on a positive note: music is ok'ish and the booming city that somehow feels really dead, at least looks kinda cool.

At the time of writing this review I have ~2250h in Hunt.

In the launch I was drawn into this PvPvE shooter cause of the atmosphere, slower pace, heavy feel of movement and just this sense of every action mattering to a degree - you actually had to think before acting cause most of the weapons were slow and clunky etc. in a pleasant way.

For the past two'ish years or so Hunt has gone progressively worse. We still have the same game breaking bugs that were present years ago with handful of new ones. Cheaters are really prominent now and it feels like it's impossible to have even one (1) gaming session without dying to some bs "feature". My personal favourites are: not hearing the footsteps, clipping through obstacles, someone trading kills with 1-2s delay, something not rendering or enemy player(s) just blatantly pre-aiming and -firing you through multiple walls that should not be even penetrable in the first place - just to name a few.

Crytek is doing unfathomably bad job of dealing with the hackers and are borderline hostile when someone with a voice in the community brings the issue up. They're also making it harder and harder to even report those cheaters and reasoning their actions with excuses that will sound idiotic to anyone who has two or more functional brain cells in their system. To lessen the blow of their incompetency, they keep pumping out more overpriced skins while searching for a new ways of pushing people buy more "premium currency" and bringing abundant amount of spam weapons in the game. At this point it's obvious that the people making decisions in Crytek are completely oblivious, in denial, incompetent or just down right too stupid for maintaining and developing this game.

If there was an alternative game with similar feel and weight to it, I would swap to that in the blink of an eye, and I'm not alone with this. Unfortunately, Hunt is all we have at the moment and it genuinely saddens me to see what this game has become.

I wouldn't really call this a game. It's really slow paced, empty, unpolished and the UI makes the experience even more jarring that it had to be. Characters are really bland, story is just plain bad and there are handful of meaningless interactions. It's a shame that refunding wasn't an option, cause this title was sitting on my library for two weeks or so, before I tried it out.

I remember when I saw the trailer when the game was still in development and actually got exited to try this game out. It met pretty much zero expectations and now looking at trailer after playing the "finished game" - I feel scammed. Just to end on a less negative note: I have to say that graphics would look pretty cool if the characters wouldn't get stuck on terrain or clip through it on regular basis.
