This is a game that on the surface looks like your typical Diablo clone. I have spent some considerable time playing Diablo 4 and this is a vastly superior game. The first thing to note is that this a slower paced game and so you have to be more considered in your approach which is great. The bosses are more difficult and varied in this game and so the difficulty may come as a shock to new players but it makes the experience far more fun. The atmosphere are audio is excellent. The quality of the voice acting is excellent and it is obvious that there is a lot of love that has gone into this game. If you are looking for a faster paces game then stick to POE 1. It's there for that specific quick experience. As an older gamer that remembers the slewth of games in the 90s and early noughties, you will absolutely love this game, but it is still accessible for new gamers. I think they have absolutely hit the sweet spot with this game and the company really do deserve success with how they have communicated with their player base. However one last thing, do remember this is early access, so there may be the occasional glitch and there may be tweaks to gameplay, but this is excellent and I am happy to thoroughly recommend this game.

What an absolutely cracking game. This very much has a homeworld vibe to it although it is very much a different type of game. There is great story telling and theatre which is enjoyable. They have including a lot of detail into the game that you might miss at first glance. I was looking for something that would scratch a Startopia itch I have had for a while and this absolutely nails it. There is enough to keep you going and the story gives the game a sense of purpose. Easily one of the best games I have played this year. Well done.

This game is a slow burn taking elements of RTS and 4x4 Gameplay. The game has a good level of difficulty and will challenge most players. It looks lovely and I live the overall look and feel of the game.
Its pre release so still has come kinks to work out but its definitely ready to play.
It is sufficiently different from other games to earn its niche. Don't buy it expecting it to be an upgrade of the original. (If you can remember that far back).

I have always been a big fan of the Settlers series of games, so when I first saw this, that was my immediate point of reference. We are currently living in strange times and I am so glad I have come across this as it is a great way to take you away and concentrate on something else. It is the classic city building game, but it has a feudal setting and the best thing about this is how the cities grow organically.
This makes such a huge difference as you can really shape your city. There is some zoning of the city and and you can zone out your farms, residential, extraction and reforestation zones.
The came really does look good as well with an atmospheric soundtrack which adds to the game.
This game is still a little rough around the edges and could do with a little more polish but that shouldn't detract from what is a great game.
I guess the one criticism is that there isn't a lot of structure to the game, but it is sandbox in nature, so you will either like or not. But I have undoubtedly fallen in love with this and it gets the big thumbs up.

I have been following this game for some time now as I was really taken aback by the 30's cartoon luck and feel. This is an old fashioned, old skool shooter at its heart. You have to remember the sequences and shoot accordinly. It is brutal in that there aren't any saves but this take me back to 70s shooters.

The mechanics aren't orginal because it has gone for a specific market and it has absolutely nailed it. Be prepared to get seriously annoyed with this game. I also love it that my kids get very excited when I play it as it looks great.

I think the price point is very reasonable and this should absolutely be on your games list.

A word of caution, this type of game isn't for everyone as it can be challenging, but I find it ultimately rewarding.

Well done to all those involved as I absolutely love this. Well done!!

For those of you who have played Total Annhilation and Supreme Commander, then the Titans expansion pack shouldn't come as a surprise to you. The Titans are super large units which take ages to build, but once built and are properly supported then they can be a game changer in a match. So what does Titans actually get you? Well you get a load of new maps. Some are more impressive than others, but you get around 18 new units. Units like the hover tanks are extremely useful in ocean maps, but there are units like the mobile nuke which if used correctly are absolutely devestating. I for one am extremely happy that they have reveresed the changes they did with the second supreme commander game and have given us loads of units to play with. The AI has definitely been tightened up and so is a lot more challenging. I guess the negatives for the game is that the expansion pack isn't really imaginative if you have played the previous games, and if you are new to the game, there is a very steep learning curve, but there is most definitely a friendly community and plents of mods out there which support both Titans and the original flavour. For an expansion pack I strongly disagree with the pricing, however I was one of the lucky ones who bought the game when it was in its special offer stage.
For me PA is a game like no other. It has its intial problems but they have listened and the game is a very satisfying experience. I was delighted when the expansion came out and I am playing this game more anything else. Absolutely the best RTS on the PC.
