I probably got this from some bundle, and a steam game random play next popped it up. Looks like this was one of the old greenlight projects that was of course grrenlit. It is a suprisingly entertaining tower defense game with trap type unlocks and leveling up. I am not sure it adds anything new to the genre, but does the TD thing well enough. Get while on sale, ideally at a sizeable discount (50%+) 6.5/10

I bought this in a build a bundle for less than USD$5. I am about 34 hours in and it is pretty good. It is not a 'true' MMO in that the 'worlds' seem to hold <24 people. As such you have the world almost all to yourself. You sometimes see people at events, but else you are on your own.

The world is huge, there are many things to do, and the interface with keyboard / mosuse is sometimes janky. I also had to turn down gfx to medium with a 3070 to remove stutter/lag/flicker.

I havent played Fallout 4 yet, but I am guessing it is better than this in that the quests and progression are probably alot higher pace. Here, they want you to buy stuff to move up your character. I dont think you need to do that to get some fun out of it. I am planning to do a few more quests, and then just start wandering the map. Time spent is decent and for $5 not bad.

Verdict is 7.5/10 at a steep discount of 85-90%. Not a good value at full price and iffy at 50% off. Look for the deepest sales and you will have some cheap fun.

A few really messed up bugs along the way, interrupting what was otherwise a pretty mid game. 4.5/10

Lame as F. If I wanted a key spammer I would play a telltale that has an actual story, or just have an idle game.

Simpy TOO GRINDY. Guides and discussions from 2019 give you the impression it is kind of dead, and seems that way. It is just too time consuming to progress... the pace is way too slow. There is a lot to do, but while not difficult, it will take you ages. Pass.

These hexwar games are pretty basic, but the mechanics usually work. Not here. Units won't fire or melee, just retreat -intermittently and w/o explanation - and others can move 3+ hexes while the same type of unit and formation -on a road- will only move one. Buggy pile of garbage.

Tedious interface, wracked with odd decisions by the "ai" coding. Probably a learning curve that can be overcome, but the effort didnt seem worth it.

Add to that the DLC practices of Frontier and their Planet games in particular, this one is a no, unless you are a die hard fan of the genre.

3.5/10 on sale 50%+ and lower if less discounted.

Surprisingly fun if a little tedious at times. Let me explain. The pinball aspect is pretty fun, with some nice powers you can level up and nothing to frustrating, at least on normal. Hell mode is a different story, but hey replayability, right?

I dont like having to start a new game each time, and that is my biggest complaint about an otherwise nice time waster.

At the time this is 80% on sale (USD$2,99), but I am sure I got it in a bundle somewhere... At that discount I would give it 7/10. I would not pay full price for this one. Daedalic is so hit an miss but this one is much more hit than miss.

I enjoyed it. Something a bit different than mainstream. Like a turn based strategic rpg kind of but with mountain climbing focus. I got it on sale and in that light, if you can find it over 50% off or in a bundle (ex. today there is one on Fanatical 20Feb2024 for ~90% off). Buy it.

4/10 at full price, but at 75% or so off it is worth it.
