What can I say that isn't already out there? Play this game if:

you read "The Subtle Knife"
you enjoy the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack
you aren't perturbed by brutal melee takedown animations

I completed this game in one sitting. I found the story to be quite engrossing, but new players will have to cope with the slightly awkward controlls. Big picture with gamepad worked for about 90% of the game, but there were moments when I had to switch back to the mouse/keyboard. Overall, it was an excellent break from the misconception that the RPG genre must be equipment and combat driven.This is a game that is character and story driven, and the emotional connections are genuine.

This game does so much right. From the free demo to the New Game +, everything is in order. Tight narrative, customizable difficulty, versatile classes, challenges, rewards... I had a ton of fun and intend to replay. Keep an eye out for mods in the Workshop, as well.

Short, sweet, and condensed; not unlike a can of shelf milk. This game is a nostolgic trip "freely inspired by Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, The Legend of Zelda, Diablo, and many more." Get it while it's on sale. $5 for 5 hours of entertainment? Hollywood sure can't beat that.

A fun game if a bit superficial. The powers are fun and the plot well spun, but I was a little disappointed in the firearms. The boss fights and scripted events are cool, but there are obnoxious moments when enemy troops will spawn endlessly until you move to the next room, sharply contrasting the majority of the game that encourages and rewards exploration.

Amazing, fast-paced platforming action. Balances being challenging with a feeling you just might beat the level with one more life. The challenges are pretty ridiculous but mostly optional, and there's a feeling of accomplishment when you complete anything. Definitely a lot of fun to be had.
