I've got a literal lifetime of experience playing rallying games, including all of the WRC games and all of the Codemasters rallying games (CMR, DiRT). I'm writing this review just after I've gotten to 100% on EA SPORTS WRC.

It's a good blend of what you'd expect from the two franchises. It's got the variety of cars and classes you'd see in a Codies game, and a Career mode and Scenarios mode format that you'd expect if you're a veteran of the Kylotonn WRC games. It also has a similar blend of realism from the two games - you can have changing weather in the stages like in the older WRC games, but the handling and physics are an evolution of DiRT Rally 2.0.

However, there is a blend of some of the negatives from the two series. Even with a 40-series GPU, there are occasional stutters in frames which I wouldn't experience in DR2 but did experience in the older WRC games. This probably wouldn't be too surprising since this is the first Codies rally game on Unreal after they've used their own engine for over 15 years. There's also a slight issue for rally nerds where the WRC stages use official stage names but don't always use the roads that these stages use in the real world. That's a legacy of this game starting off as DiRT Rally 3, before Codies had the WRC license which - oddly enough - even covers the roads used in the real world. However, these roads that are used do exist in real life, unlike in the old KT Racing games.

There are also a couple of concerns that the fanbase has for the future. One is about future content releases, with fans hoping this will be more like DR2 which had new content releases added in rather than the typical annual release cycle of WRC games. Another is about the impending implementation of Kernel-level anti-cheat, which fans are worried won't be effective as an anti-cheat software and will lead to errant bans for things such livery mods being installed.

Nevertheless, I still love this game. In many ways, it's an evolution of DR2. The handling is generally more realistic, and there are more stages and rallies which in some cases have more kilometres to them than in DR2. The car choice is also more varied, with the returning classes gaining more cars to them compared to DR2 with some of these cars being fan-favourites that were unfortunately left out - the most noticeable ones being the Xsara WRC as well as the Escort and Astra F2 Kit Cars. I just hope that it won't be part of an annual release cycle and that, if it is, future releases will only add content (such as the Yaris Rally2 and new WRC events, or even the ERC events).

A solid achievement farm, the best game of the V8 era of Codies F1 games and even better if you can get it on discount. Definitely a bit more dated 7 years later but a solid game to chill with and play on a gamepad.

Finally bought this game on Steam after a decade of having played it.

This game is always worth the money on the base content alone, but the mods are what really sets rFactor apart from other sims, including rFactor 2. The variety and the quantity make this game tough to beat as a race sim, which is why it is still used as standard by many simulator owners alongside Race 07.

The graphics are, of course, slightly dated now. This is made greater by the presence of rFactor 2. However, it still packs a punch (and at my specs of 4GB VRAM and 16GB RAM I can run max everything at 1080p60).

So, in short, this game is certainly worth it even after a decade since original release. For me, it was my introduction to the Racing Sim and I haven't stopped loving the genre since.

This game is free, one playthrough only lasts about 20 minutes, it's easy to get all of the achievements for and it really hits you in the feels. Totally worth the play.

When I started up the game, I was greeted with a message. This message was displayed on-screen in white letters scrolling quickly down a black background and being read at a fast pace – how could this not be funny? What it explains is what the game is, why they made it and, most of all, politics. Yes, politics. Because this game was made for charity, and all proceeds of this game go to charity. There’s even a joke in this start-up speech about how, if you pirate the game, you’re so morally low that you should have Somali pirates come into your house and cut your gaming fingers off to teach you the real definition of the word ‘piracy’. The narrator then goes on to attack David Cameron for letting bankers off the hook whilst not caring about charities like the one this game is funding. This made me fall in love with the game before I even got any gameplay.
After the game actually started, I was treated to several achievements for just browsing the options menu and altering some values. As soon as that was over, I went into the main game and played as the first playable character, Dafydd. His story is set in Wales. There are two other playable characters in the game too, but these only come into play later on. These are Darren, who is supposed to be a ‘chav’ from Swindon and, of course, David Cameron. All of these characters are supposed to be funny, and to me they are hilarious. From Kenneth’s accent (Kenneth is the manager of Lidl Swindon and the ‘enemy’ (if you will) of Darren) to the way in which the David Cameron character says lines which we all know the real David Cameron does off of the camera, this game’s attempt at poor writing and bad jokes is what, in a way, makes the writing and jokes all the more fun!
Now, of course, one of the big things in Grand Theft Auto V is Heists. And I know that you’re asking “Are there heists in NotGTAV?” The answer: yes. But they’re not quite what you’d imagine. To be honest, I’ve only played the first two at this point and I don’t know if there’s a David Cameron heist (but I assume that there is and that it is entertaining), but what I got is this – you do something stereotypical of the character that you are playing as and, like in GTAV, there are two paths that you can take: the loud or the quiet. And, in short, they do what the GTAV ones do – the loud one makes you massacre everybody, the quiet one makes you become a Sam Fisher wannabe. Both are equally entertaining, and both are worth replaying the heist to see pan out.
At the end of the day, NotGTAV is a parodic game, made to spoof the real Grand Theft Auto V poorly and also made to entertain you. Now, does it do that? Most certainly! In fact, since the game does this so well, I love it all the more! I may have only played a little over an hour of it as of me writing this, but I still enjoyed it massively – and would recommend it to anybody who has seen it anywhere before. Sure the graphics are shoddy and the sounds were all made by people making noises into microphones, but that’s what I love about it. This game does exactly what it is meant to do, and is deliberately poor in audio and video whereas most AAA games today do that by accident.

I haven't reviewed many Football Manager games, but I actually have hundreds of hours of gameplay in the previous games - and this serves as the basis for my review.
I purchased this game nearly a year ago, but have not played this anywhere near as much as previous titles in the series. This is partially down to the fact that I have been more invested in other titles on Steam in this past year, but partially down to the fact that FM13 was my favourite, and FM14 didn't show much improvement on FM13.
On top of that, Football Manager games take a lot of time to sit down and play, and so I have refrained from playing FM14 so much.
Despite the negativity of this review, I would still recommend it. Despite not showing much change to FM13, FM14 is still a great game, as long as you have time to invest in it. Even the 'streamlined' Classic Mode still requires a large investment of time. If you already own FM13, I would still recommend FM14, as it is still a worthwhile purchase.
Overall, I reckon that it's an 8/10 title.

Hotline Miami is a game in which you are largely unaware of who you are and what you are doing - the main aim is to go to places, kill people, and not die.
Or so it seems.
There are two scoring/rating systems for each level: a rating (which follows grades such as A-, A and A+) and a score (which is a collection of thousands upon thousands of points). Both of them do seperate things - the rating goes towards, to my knowledge, an achievement or two (there's one for getting all A+'s (which is billions of times easier said than done)) whilst the scoring goes towards unlocks such as masks (which each carry different feats) and weapons (which as go from Shurikens to Automated Rifles). I mean, there's nothing funnier than getting an achievement for killing 3 people with 1 throw of a brick.
The story is great - but largely because you don't understand why it's happening. You get calls from 'company members', which give you the address to go to for the next job (not that you have to navigate the journey). You then go through the mission and (usually) enter a dialogue with a 'store clerk' before starting the next chapter. It's all so surreal, and that's what makes Hotline Miami such a good game - now to wait and see what the sequel has in store!
The game's main story doesn't last too long (as can be proven by my hours played and that I've finished it), but luckily, it's a nice game to sit down with and just play through one level (as I mentioned before, there are many difficult-to-get achievements which will increase the amount of playtime).
Overall, I give the game a 10/10, and hotly-anticipate the sequel to this game!

This game is AWESOME!
Honestly, any game where you can create best-selling games which have names like 'Drop That Soap' and make advanced consoles called the 'Compubox Too' is one worth investing in. There are so many great mods in this game, but I have not invested in these too much yet.
I recently played through the game in a 6/7-hour game and actually discovered several features which I had not previously discovered (such as the homage to this service which is dubbed 'Grid') and, not only was it fun to play, but the experience was different; and no two files will likely have the same development path for topics, as all of the topics appear in a random order.
This game is one of my personal favourites, not only for the hilarious titles that can come up, but for the achievements which bay homage to classic games (such as Pong and Doom). I would recommend this to any casual gamer who is happy to spend countless hours playing this legendary game.

10/10
