Insaniquarium Deluxe is, perhaps, the greatest game ever created by man. If there's one work of art you could showcase as definitive proof that not only a higher power exists, but that they were benevolent enough to give us the insight and ability to create that they may have, none would be more fitting than this game- nay, this experience.
The time I've spent in this game may be brief, but it has given me the experience of thousands of lifetimes. All the carpal tunnel, the RSI, the self-improvement I've put off, is all worth it for Insaniquarium. The wonderfulness of relationships or of watching your children grow and develop or whatever other societal goals may be seen as most fulfilling all pale in comparison to the joy of purchasing 1/3 of the egg. Every piece, every third, is a step towards a greater conclusion, and the experience of getting that final piece and completing the level- pure bliss. All to start anew, going through the motions again, just like the rest of life.
Insaniquarium is a reminder that, despite the difficulties, the stress, the monotony, and the aliens of our everyday existence, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. Every fish I feed, every level I complete, every enemy I fend off, all contributes to my growth towards eternal enlightenment. This game is mankind's greatest achievement, and the pinnacle of human expression through art.
