I once bought an xbox 360 just to play Madden. Madden use to be the go to football game for me after the demise of Front page sports football. I lost interest in madden after repeated releases with an underwhelming fun factor. I lost interest in the NFL as well. I was not even looking for a football game, but this one found me on sale.
At first glance, I was like "oh, another retro game, nah." Then I looked at the reviews and they raved on this game written by one guy. I'm a sucker for the underdog, so took a shot.
Great game. No two games are the same. The controls are solid and the players ratings matter. My only con is I am not a fan of the kicking mechanic. I also struggle to run the ball, but watching you tube videos proves it's me, not the game.
If the NFL aspect is important to you there is a nifty NFL mod available.
There is a lot this game does right. Some things that are not in the game that may be someday, such as a hurry up offense, and very little it does wrong.
Overall, it it a fun game that is much deeper that it appears on the surface.

Buy it if you want a jeep. I find them lacking in ability and will rarely depend on them. Maybe on streets or ice, but not mud. The new suspension is cool though. Maybe future upgrades will be available. See the people complaining about the sound? They are not wrong.

Pickup cargo, drive to destination without tickets or wrecks, park cargo, make money, repeat.... Build a trucking empire. If you are easily bored, steer clear (pun intended). If you want a nice relaxing experience, this delivers (pun intended). Find a nice list of streamin radio stations to import, listen to music, drive and relax. Highly recommend to the proper type of player. Wheel a plus but not required. Track ir a plus too.

RaceRoom is somewhat a demo. You get some tracks, some cars, and a taste of sp and mp action. It is free to see how it runs on your system and if your controls work properly. You get to play and get a feel for what the game offers.

Now, if you want more content, go to the web site and shop for what you want. I bought the starter pack for $11.50 usd and got 10 cars and 5 tracks. 12 bucks for a full game is a good value in my opinion.

As this is intended as a sim, having all the cars at once does me no good. I would like em all, but hey... I drive one car for most of my gaming time daily trying to perfect my skills and learn my braking points on tracks, etc.

Negative reviews based on the business model are not a reflection of the quality of the sim. The sim is very good and quite fun to drive. The free to play insured no nasty surprises.

Multiplayer needs some help. It is rare to get into a race where other drivers share a desire for clean racing. I prefer to start dead last in races to avoid getting rammed. I then attempt to avoid the inevitable spins and wrecks, and if I am lucky enough to do so, I may pull off a decent finish. If I am a front runner after qualify, as soon as I brake for turn 1, I am toast. This is not a knock on the game, just be aware if mp is why you wish play the game.

Bought this game and returned it. Have a ton of time in Kerbal space program and am also a fan of flight sims. This seemed like the perfect mix. I returned the game. It is not a bad game, but take the word "simple" literally. Just not enough depth for me. Building is fun and initial takeoff is ok with super simple graphics, but after that....

I got this game on sale bundled with Phantom Pain. Decided to start with Ground Zeros to familarize myself with the gameplay before starting Phantom Pain. The game itself is very well done, and has very addictive gameplay.

This is a single level game, and once you finish the main mission, you unlock more missions to try to accomplish. You can replay the missions over again to try to get higher ratings also. If trying to do the perfect run is your thing, there is a lot of replay value here. If not, it will seem like a rather short game.

I am not a big writer of reviews, but felt compelled to write this one to expose the one thing that may be a game breaker for some.

This game was designed for a gamepad. Thats fine, and you can use the keyboard and mouse to play as well, and it works fine if you are a wasd player. If, like me, you play with the arrow keys and their surrounding keys, you can not remap most keys around the arrows making the game unplayable by ME with the keyboard and mouse.

There is a scripting program that can be used to fix this as long as you remember to run the script before starting the game. I still have not found a comfortable way to map the keys and use the kb and mouse because many action require multiple keypresses simutaneously.

I use an xbox controller as a compromise, not a choice because the game is that good.

Feels like driving a car. Update...Feels more like driving than it use too.
I suck at this game and I have played em all. Update...I am better than I use to be.
I have never been challenged to get better more than this game has. Update... Still true.
I did not realize how bad I was. Update...Did not know how much work it would take to improve.
I have improved, there fore I know it is not the games fault I lose races. The AI difficulty is adjustable.
The added custom championship creator is great. The Career mode is not.
I see ai complaints in old reviews. I'm ok with it, it must have improved. Watch the replay, It's usually your fault.
Own all DLCs but 1. I wanna drive em all.
If sim driving did'nt make my back hurt, can't imagine how many hrs I'd have in this game.
Tried the free to play Pcars Pagoda edition. Bought this after trying that and do not regret it.
Need a Wheel imho.

Game keeps getting better. Cost me $1100.00 to buy a real wheel. I can not reccomend this title enough.

Game is an OK racer. You are forced to race all disciplines to advance. Drifting and endurance racing in this game is not good fun in my opinion, therefore I am forced to NOT have fun to advance. There are better racing games out there for me. Game is pretty and some modes I find fun.

If your the type that likes to build things and see how they work. This is a +1
If you are interested in realistic-ish space travel within our own solar system. +1
If you are willing to put in some time to learn to use the interface and learn some basic orbital physics. +1
If you wanna shoot something... -1
If you want easy without the learning curve. -1
If you like mod abilty +1
I love this game, but it's not for everyone.
I laugh when I fail and strut when I pull off something very cool.
