The most important thing in a game for me is a strong sense of identity. Regardless of genre, a great game is one that takes an idea and wholeheartedly commits to that concept in all aspects, from gameplay to visual style to even the soundtrack. In other words, Fromsoft, Suda51, Yoko Taro, the Yakuza series, and Disco Elysium.
