Yet another beautifully drawn, masterfully written, and deviously sneaky find-the-cats game from Devcats. The only problem with these games is if you're even halfway decent at Where's Waldo you'll blast through these games in short order. I believe it took me a total of three hours to complete!

Welcome to the team Leo!

This game would be awesome if it wasn't so unbelieveably laggy. Since Patch 1.6, my game has frozen up for a short time every two minutes, and as I continue playing, the freeze lasts longer, and the interval gets shorter, until I'm basically getting one second of gameplay and thirty seconds of looking at a still image. Until Gaijin fixes this, I cannot give a good review, even though I've been thoroughly enjoying this game for several years.

Update: They appear to have fixed it, so I'm now big-time recommending this game to anyone who's ever played World of Tanks or Armored Warfare and been disgusted with how they've changed over the years. War Thunder's gameplay hasn't changed in all the years I've played. The random battles may not always have the best teamwork, but you'll definitely find more teamwork than you'll ever see in World of Tanks. The custom battles are amazing fun as well, with far more customization options than World of Tanks.

Yes, I'm focusing mostly on comparisons with World of Tanks. I haven't played Armored Warfare since close to its release; I know for a fact that World of Tanks has had a lot of changes over the years, but I don't actually know if Armored Warfare has or not. All I know is I used to enjoy World of Tanks, but after update 9.0 it straight up died for me.

An excellent superhero MMORPG with all original content and a very active RP scene. More powers than you can shake a stick at, and more costume parts than powers! Want to be a misshapen lump of radioactive sludge, and still save people's lives? Now you can! Want to make your own Hulk clone? Now you can (although you can't use the name Hulk)! Champions Online is one of the longest-running superhero MMORPG's, and I personally don't see it dying anytime soon.

Note: 13.2 hours on record when launched via Steam; I've played far longer than that, starting before CO was available on Steam.

SE is an awesome game. It's Minecraft meets Kerbal Space Program with a healthy dose of Garry's Mod Spacebuild. Building ships is very intuitive, and the new large ship drill and working conveyor system really make survival mode workable.

The physics simulation in the game could use a little work. There's nothing wrong with the physics interactions, be they ship physics or mined-ore-and-rock physics; however, on a less beefy computer (such as mine), if more than say 10 physics objects are rolling around at one time (ships count as single objects unless broken apart), everything slows to a crawl. This is actually not my computer lagging, as far as I can tell, but instead is the developer's method of ensuring no physics derpiness occurs on slower computers like mine. Instead of essentially accepting that a few things are going to clip through other things, they've forced the physics simulation to slow waaaay down so the processor has time to figure out all the physics interactions. This means that even though I may be getting 30-40 FPS, everything I do seems to be at 5 FPS.

Still an absolutely stellar game, and it's only getting better. I haven't even played since the very very recent introduction of steering wheels and usable vehicles, so I'm not going to review that system.

UPDATE 1-16-16:

PLANETS. Planets eat my poor little laptop for breakfast, leaving me with a meager 3 FPS. BUT I DON'T CARE, THEY'RE TOTALLY WORTH IT! Keen has taken their already epic game and raised it to legendary levels. They're still squashing a few issues with the planetary side of things, but all in all the game is great.

Also, the modding community. Holy crap does this game have some truly awesome mods. People have made everything from new armor blocks to entire ship systems that operate similar to the vanilla ones but with extra abilities and settings. I recommended getting this game over a year ago, and my opinion has not changed one bit since then.

UPDATE 2-17-16:

Aaaaand now I have a new computer and the game is GLORIOUS.

Let me put it very simply: BEST. HL2. MOD. EVER. Physics sandbox that allows you to LITERALLY do WHATEVER YOU WANT with HL2's physics. Plus, the community has created at least FIVE MILLION addons to date! The only downside is sometimes you wind up going so crazy with the physics that you crash the game, but that's to be expected. I would recommend this to ANYONE, no matter WHAT kind of game you like.

Edit two years later:

Garry's Mod is no longer just a mod, it's a game in its own right. And it's only improved because of this! If you don't already have GMod...what exactly are you waiting for?
