Early Access Review
Rust has been an enjoyable game for me since day 1, though the most recent changes made me rethink my review because the current state of the game is unbalanced and many of the "veterans" think the same way. Starting for the Legacy version, Rust was a great survival game, where raiding was a great thing to establish and you kind of worked hard for it. Now, after the new shape of the game, with the graphics (which I am pleased of and most are likely too) and the updates, which some are good and some are bad, I'd have to say that it is still a lot to work on.

I know that some of you might say that "oh hey, it is still in Alpha", but the Rust developers should also think twice before putting in an update which may make things go unbalanced. A good example would be the heavy armor which was nerfed a month later, and now nobody uses it, and another recent example would be the twig update, where you can build and place ladders in building blocked zones. Why do we have cupboards for then? I find it very irritating, I've spent 10 hours in one day, to build, protect and collect all of the resources that I needed, and at the blink of an eye, I've lost everything because somebody could jump over 4 layers of high external stone walls and stone gates, build around the house to climb up and eventually use 20 rockets, going upside down, and then ladder their way back up with the loot. It is the most unbalanced thing and the worst update that I've ever seen in a game, which made the things turn the way around.

I also believe that the walls and ceilings, even foundations should be harder to break, that way raiders are forced to use the doors, that way we can use some type of creativy to prevent a raid and defend the base properly. There is a lot to think about now honestly, and raiding just became the most easiest thing, when defending is just impossible unless you have a great clan that can stay on 24/7. I love raiding, but when you make it that easy, I can't enjoy raiding someone because I know how much they've worked to establish a base and work for the resourses, nor I if I get raided and I know how much effort I've put into the game.

Bring back the old Rust, make raiding a great thing to accomplish and then we'll speak about changing my review and the recommendation note. Peace.
