After enjoying the demo and hoping the game would pick up after a few days, I was sorely wrong. I bought this ignoring the warnings from other reviews talking about the gameplay loop. The main gameplay involves going back and forth managing loads of laundry. Collecting as they come in, waiting for the wash to be done, waiting for the drying to be done, and then setting them on the table to collect money based on how fast you did it. That means the game will punish you if you don't do the laundry fast enough. If you want to maximize your rewards and get more games for your arcade (the main selling point of this whole game), then you have to do this menial task as efficiently as possible. Doing the laundry as efficiently as possible means you have absolutely no time to play any of the arcade games in any decent capacity.

The save feature is one that frustrated me the most, though. You cannot pause and save in the middle of the day. Every time you save and exit, it ends the day and stops you from earning any profit. Laundry gets stuck wherever it was before you saved, making every single load a failed one. The game, for some reason, wants you to save right before you have to leave on the bus for the night. It's honestly a little maddening there's no better way for saving progress.

The arcade games, what little I could play of them, are genuinely fun! It's just a shame that the game inherently discourages you from playing it's main selling point by punishing you with menial labor.

can't recommend in it's new state. anti-player decisions aren't going to serve this game. i had high hopes too. EAC is malicious.

The equivalent of a flash toy on Newgrounds. Some of the puzzles are clever, but most of them require some form of moon logic to penetrate. Nice art, nice music, but no replayability and the use of a guide (required for some puzzles) will take any feeling of accomplishment out of the puzzles.
