Still love this old game. Didn't care for CS:GO and haven't tried CS2 yet.

Recipe for awesome:
- Install Source Offensive mod
- Max out the decal limit
- Host a 32-player match with bots
- Enjoy the warzone

Love this game even though I'm terrible at it.

Boobs and explosions everywhere. This game is Duke at his finest. F*** the critics, this game was amazing, and that's why I'm nominating it for the “No Apologies” Award.

This mod used to be amazing. It used to work perfectly. That was my impression in 2009 when I last played it. However, now it's too buggy to even play. The character selection doesn't work at all; the game just picks a random character evey time you respawn. The game frequently fails to transition between levels, claiming it can't find map files. Worst of all are the Steam UserID Ticket errors, which seem to come up ever couple levels, and require a restart of Steam in order to continue playing. The developer's website claims that the latest SteamPipe release fixes "most if not all of the flakey issues." Clearly they are mistaken.

Maybe there are workarounds for some of the issues. I don't know and honestly don't care. This mod is being offered through the Steam store, so it should work "out of the box." I recommend you pass over this one, it isn't worth the aggrivation.

Best. Game. Ever.

Update (2016-11-23)
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion used to be the best game ever made...until The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim came along. I remember it like it was yesterday. I start playing this game after dinner. Suddenly it's 10pm and I can't explain where all the time went. I tell myself that I'll just take a few more minutes to finish exploring this dwarven ruin, then shower and go to bed. 30min later I enter an elevator at the end of the dungeon, only to find myself transported to a sprawling underground city. Okay, maybe if I'm lucky I can finish off this area before 11, and I'll just have to shower in the morning. I'll be tired tomorrow for sure, but I should still be able to function at work. Then I find the bones of my old buddy from a previous life who was apparently here to hunt for red nirnroots. Well, that settles it, I have to keep playing. I guess I'm not going to work tomorrow.

That's just an ordinary day in the world of Skyrim. And that is why I've nominated it for the "Just 5 More Minutes" award.

Update (2017-11-24)
Another year, another award nomination. This game has real staying power. I can go back to it at any time and it's still just as captivating and amazing as I remembered it. That's what makes this game “Mom’s Spaghetti”.

Update (2019-11-26)
Nominated again -- "Labor of Love". Still the best game ever, and still getting updates in the form of Creation Club for SE.
