Planet Zoo has some issues -- it's a resource hog, DLC packs are too expensive for what you get, there are lots of problems with path placement, and the UI is a bit clunky in places. It can also be intimidating because of the freedom it allows -- you really can build just about *anything* you can think of... and that can be paralyzing sometimes.

But if your PC will run it, and you like animal and zoo management... you simply can't do any better than this. When it works, it's truly astounding. Check YouTube for about 10,000,000 gameplay videos if you're looking for ideas, or want to see some of the amazing creations that can be constructed in the game.

Sometimes the game lies to you. The wind isn't as strong as you thought, the green doesn't break as much as you thought, the elevation doesn't have as much of an effect as you thought...

That can be frustrating... but isn't that golf in a nutshell?

It's not a perfect game, but for me it's the best golf game around.

It's not perfect, but if you're a fan of NBA Jam and/or the first NBA Playgrounds, you'll find something here to like. There's some grind, and apparently not a lot of players online, but there's quite a bit of single player content, and the online co-op is awesome.

It doesn't feel like a real-world pinball table... but that's a feature, in my opinion. Real-world pinball tables were designed to steal your quarters. This game was designed to be awesome. It's the best PC pinball game of all time, hands down. Great tables, great physics, and lots of different ways to play. Tournaments, weekly matchups, classic mode...

If you like pinball, you're going to like this game.

I love this game. It's everything I hoped it would be when I backed the Kickstarter.

The low-poly graphics, the ambient nature sounds, the satisfying CRUNCH when you crash... it's all great.

The bike physics feel really smooth, and when you get going fast it actually feels a little bit dangerous.

You're going to read some reviews mentioning that the camera is too close and you can't see where you're going. The camera is maybe a bit too close, but that's not as big a deal as you would think. I am typically a very average gamer, and I'm finding myself doing fine, despite not being able to see very far ahead of me. Part of a game like this is getting to know each track, which mitigates the camera issue.

Overall, this is just a great little game. Highly recommended.

I'd give this game a solid 6/10. It's a fun off-road racing game, with a touch of nostalgia for the game it draws inspiration from (Ivan Ironman Stewart's Super Off Road) but also a pretty distinct personality of its own.

It's definitely more realistic than its namesake -- the trucks seem slow, even when you've upgraded the top speed and acceleration several times. But they're big trucks, with big tires. They're not dragsters or Formula One cars.

The camera angles are not great; the game would benefit from a few more camera options.

It's also a bit repetitive; sure, you unlock "new" cities but most tracks are repeated across cities.

I'd recommend waiting for a sale unless you're a hardcore racing game fan, but it's a fun little game.

Basically an ecosystem management sim, with lots of cute animals and plants. It's a lot of fun, it looks great, and it's deeper than it seems at first glance. Recommended for anyone who enjoys management sims, or anyone who likes animals.

This is already a fun, well-designed game... and it's only about half finished. It has the potential to be the best "village-builder" ever.

If you can afford 30 USD and you like the "village-builder" sub-genre, this is a no-brainer.

*Non-VR review*

I love this game, and I can't wait to see more content. It's already the best bowling experience on Steam. The pin and ball phsyics are very good, the details of the alleys are incredible, and it's really easy to learn but difficult to master... sort of like real bowling. It "feels" like real-world bowling in a way that no other PC bowling game ever has. Of course on VR that's probably even more pronounced, but the non-VR experience is still incredible.

The online multiplayer is a nice touch for me and my friend who lives 1500 miles away. We bowl together in real life, but we don't get together too often, so it's pretty awesome to be able to fire up this game and get a few quick games in.

Highly recommended for bowling fans, even at full price.

Non-bowlers, maybe wait for a sale and/or wait for more content.

If you like tycoon/management games, you should get this game. It's fun, it's immersive, its developer cares about getting things right. Highly recommended.
