I haven't beat it *quite* yet (on the final act), but I can tell you that this is one of my Indie games of all time, if not one of my favorite games.

The game in my opinion isn't super difficult, but with the bonus objectives it gives you to earn "Confidence Points" (which let you unlock outfits between missions) let you self-select your difficulty on the fly. Having trouble with a level? Maybe forget about those challenges and just do your best to clear it! Finding it too easy? See if you can't get all the challenges done at once, maybe with some self imposed ones like not letting anyone get hit.

Incredibly unique abilities, combined with the ability to rewind anything before committing, leads to some fantastic moments of completing a turn, not being satisfied with the outcome, and thinking of what you could do differently. Then you rewind, run it back, and do it another way! Hell, just like Heat Signature (Suspicious Developments' other amazing game, check it out), the game is such a fantastic sandbox I often found myself testing different combinations of abilities to see how their interplay worked, only to find and develop new strategies I'd never would've thought of without the safety blanket of a rewind!

Master-class in clever puzzles, especially near the end of Act 3 there's an insaaane moment which I won't spoil. If this game doesn't have you rethinking the way you approach sandboxes in general, nothing will.

On top of that, the writing is incredibly witty. A few laugh out loud moments, but I'm fairly easy to make laugh- over all though, tight, humorous dialogue throughout, and some REALLY thoughtful worldbuilding that gets me excited as both a writer and a player. The magic system is incredibly intricate both in game and in world, and it's very fun to see the interaction of it in both settings.

AI created 5 timelines in a single turn, doubling the amount of boards, and then created a roaming, dimension jumping army of knights to destroy all my pieces before moving a queen to checkmate me 7 times between the past, present, and future.

The game is beautiful, animations are smooth, and textures are shiny and eye catching. It has a few bugs or glitches, but none of them affect gameplay and generally all fix themselves in a few moments. The base building is incredibly fun, and with the amount of hours I have, I still have never beat the game because I just start building and collecting and building some more. The music is great, the atmosphere is gripping, and the gameplay itself is fun and straight forward. And there's so many simply *awesome* moments with amazing graphical effects. I would recommend this game to anyone.
