Classic halo gameplay imo, longer time to kill and meaningfully different weapon types makes for a much more 'moment to moment tactics' feel.
Maps and modes are great. 343i keeps bringing out great updates.
The forge community is cranking out amazing maps with AI to come.

In Australia you have to play the more popular playlists or you wont get a game. You also have to set your matchmaking to local or you will get 200 ping games.

So many missions derailed be cause I bumped a guy with a horse. Can you just pull a gun on a guy and have him piss off? Of course not, you bumped him with your horse, this is war. He goes into a murderous rage and you have to kill the guy, which makes you a murderer, which means every one pulls out their mobile phone and calls the cops, who just happen to be just over the next hill. You can't even just kill all the cops because district dispatch has been informed and waves will just keep coming.

This games wastes so much of your time trying to make things feel "realistic" but it takes the wanted system from GTA and cranks it up 10 notches. So when you're inevitably fighting a wave of lawmen, you're spending precious seconds doing a perfectly choreographed move into cover. If you survive the animators many attempts to get you murdered, you get to be involved in the slow, boring gun-play.

If you don't have an hour to get a mission done don't bother with this game. Just getting your mission will take ages because this game decides that you can't go any faster than a crawl through the camp. You can't get off your horse without a couple seconds animation. The beautifully crafted animation of looting a body or taking a can from a shelf is great the first time, but it gets old real quick.

If you're here for the story, read it online. If you want to shoot stuff and ride horses, get Red Dead Redemption.
