I complained in their official discord and they did say something about using the public beta instead (so it sounds like they're leaving that open on purpose for now) but didn't say where to access it. Hi, I just thought I would reach out to you to tell you that I saw your recent review on Islanders. I found a way to revert to the old game version: if you look at the game's properties in your library, go to betas, and select the public_beta option, you'll get the old version of the game. I don't know how long this little back door will exist, but for now it works.

I'm totally with you about the new update; the new graphics give me a headache, and the UI scaling doesn't work well either. I hope they don't get rid of the option to play the old version.
