The presentation here is impeccable. From the UI to the writing style, everything works to get you in the mood instantly, which is important for a short story. The author is obviously very confident working with VNs, and that made it such a pleasant reading. The art is especially charming, I stopped a lot to admire the characters.
It was my first time reading an ebi-hime work, and will certainly read more in the future.

I read the itch.io version and after that got it on Steam for the review/achievements, so don't mind my playtime, it was probably 5~6 hours.

A "beautiful" pixel art gallery where you have to randomly click on things that don't have any indicator, wait for your character to slowly walk on rails using the most obnoxious route, just to discover that the thing does nothing, repeat until you wanna throw your mouse at the screen.

The flaws of old adventure games multiplied by 10 without any of their engaging nature.

Doom (2016) resgata a essência dos jogos clássicos e adiciona uma ótima dose de parkour e desmembramentos. A velocidade, o clima death metal e a constante tensão de estar cercado por demônios estão todos presentes no jogo, acrescidos de elementos novos que os complementam com maestria.

Mecânicas como a das Glory Kills recompensam o jogador por estar sempre na dianteira do combate, manter-se agressivo e em movimento é a chave para dominar o combate de Doom. Está com pouca vida? Em vez de correr e possivelmente ser alvejado por um imp, por que não explodir o primeiro inimigo a sua frente e destroça-lo para recuperar HP?

A trilha sonora reforça essa adrenalina, muitas vezes começando baixinha até explodir no exato momento em que uma horda de demônios se junta ao massacre. São detalhes como esse que mostram o quanto os desenvolvedores entendem o design do jogo. Recomendo assistir a série de documentários do NoClip sobre o resgate dessa franquia.

E vale a pena ir direto pra dificuldade Ultra-Violence, a curva de desafio dela é muito bom pra quem já tem certa familiaridade do o ritmo do jogo.

Not the most complex or balanced fighting game out there, but has a ton of charm in it. The characters are well-known stereotypes from police and detective movies, and the causes of each fight are so dumb that made me laugh sometimes.

However, Verdict Guilty is HELLA FUN!! The story mode have some objectives to make it more interesting, but still is fairly easy, so even a beginner can finish it without frustration, but not without a little challenge. Each character has a gimmick on their throws and a "gun", which adds some depth to the combat, but most of the gameplay remembers Street Fighter 2; so spacing is key to victory.

A cheap/fun fighting game and a good choice for a few hours of entertainment.
