A fantastic take on the walking Anomaly Horror, Exit 8 style gameplay. The addition of an overseer in the Arbiter, commenting and sassing you here and there helps break up the long bouts of quiet concentration, both to help and hinder you.

Instead of the game just throwing more and more subtle anomalies (which are, to me, a poor way of doing difficulty in these kinds of games), it throws different mechanics and curveballs at you to try distracting you, making you forget the anomalies you are trying to spot and memorize.

The addition of a good handful of accessibility settings, like turning off the timer or the jumpscares or similar, are a big bonus to me.

Fun bullet-heaven with a very cute style to it!

Has some interesting little twists to the formula (Crafting at specific points of a run, gacha pulls for new heroes or coins for meta upgrades, route choice to focus on different things like xp or coins)

Released with some issues, but the dev has been quite active on updating and fixing things and talking with the community, always good to see!

A fantastic take on the 'horror spot the difference' style of I'm on Observation Duty and similar games, incorporating a few choice mechanics from other horror and ghost hunting games to great effect.

You aren't just watching cameras, looking for things changing; you need to mark them down as evidence, slowly working out how to exorcise the ghost. You only get one shot, so you have to make it count.

But you aren't safe behind the monitor. To add to the slowly building horror of things being out of place and weird things occuring, the ghost can invade your safe room, changing things, and eventually hunting you. You need to pull your eyes away, looking around you like a FNAF security room, marking down more evidence and stopping the ghost from killing you.

The game is amazing, does quite well in building up the atmosphere and the horror without resorting to jumpscares or super gorey or twisted visuals (not that the game doesn't have them, but they are either extremely rare or very situational to where you can see them coming). Having to listen for your room being invaded, and pulling your view away from either the cameras or your room to distract you so something can change, is well done.

ROCK AND STONE!

A fantastic game alone or with friends. Dig deep into the destructible environments of the planet as hardy space dwarves! Gather minerals, fight off giant bugs and other horrors, and then get back to the station for a much needed beer!

Quite a charming platformer!

You are Roxy, a cute raccoon that has to face off against a crazy witch that is causing trouble for you and your friends. You run, jump, climb, explore, and beat the witch at her own games!

The controls are decently smooth, and the gameplay definitely reminds me of older platformers and collectathons, as you work to collect all the stars and gems on each level. Doing so unlocks different hats you can wear and look stylish in.

What might throw folks off at first is how running works : When you hold Run, you move faster, but you turn like a car instead of the more instant turning of normal Roxy. It's neat and interesting way to control running.

There's a few issues and quirks, but nothing game breaking, more just minor annoyances! Jumping and climbing can get odd at certain camera angles, and some of the time trials/races can be tough until you get the pattern/route down.

Overall, though, the game is super cute and charming, plays well, and is quite a lot of fun!

A fantastic game so far with excellent writing, atmosphere, visual style, and more.

A great adventure game harkening back to old point-and-click games, which handles some of the main issues folks have with the genre with a good sense of style (don't need to pixel hunt, as you have a nice sci fi esque display you can activate to find important things).

Choices feel like they matter already, so considering another playthrough after my current one to see all what changes.

All in all I highly recommend it!

(I've been testing this for a while before Early Access launch, to note)

A fun card game with a lot of promise, and an excellent implementation in VR to make it feel more unique and less like I'm just playing Tabletop Simulator with a deck of Magic cards.

Cards and Tankards feels familiar in a Hearthstone way, fairly easy to pick up and understand. But being able to see actual 3D models when you summon creatures and watch them attack or die brings a more fun immersion versus just pushing around flat cards. Placing cards down physically to play them, pushing your troops forward to attack or defend, tapping creatures to use effects on them, are all nice bits of immersion.

You enter a multiplayer tavern when you load in, but you can choose to face an AI or other players. You get a starting deck and some cards, and you earn more cards by opening packs with gold you get from winning games and completing daily quests (and your first win each day gets you extra cards, which is really helpful). Deck building is nice, and you do it in world so you can chat and hang out while you work on new builds.

Aside from gold, there are Gems, which are the paid currency, and only used for Cosmetics to customize both your avatar (hair styles and colors, pets, etc) and your decks (special card backs and animated cards)

Overall I've had a lot of fun, popping in now and then to chat and play a quick game, seeing new cards and new things added quite regularly. The devs also pop in and chat with folks often to hang out and get feedback, and the community has been fairly nice so far!

An excellent game and fantastic starting release. No real big or small bugs I've hit yet, the only issue I had is the lack of an options menu

(other than being blind to how to clean air filters at first...but that's a me problem because who has time to read when the escape pod is both exploding and running out of oxygen?!)

Highly recommend this and look forward to what more is in store for the game!

A fantastic game with an amusing story.

You are just the average user of the recently released Hogo OS 1985 edition! Or...are you average? Are you incredibly smart....or incredibly dumb? Either way, the tale tells the story of your encounter with Hogo OS.

The game is part simulation with the Hogo OS being fairly functional : you can browse the HogoNet and visit some websites, including a bulletin board. You can take notes and even write very basic programs! There's also a lot of games to play, many familiar from the days of early home computers, but with that Hogo flavor to them.

But there's much more to this than just fiddling around with the OS. Be sure to explore, and make note of the latest update to the Hogo OS 1985 edition!

------

I felt the length of the game was quite nice. It didn't feel like it was padded out too much, as the story kept rolling forward. There were some cute occurances, some annoying ones, but overall I enjoyed the story.

A few 'puzzles' I had issues with, as the logic behind advancing them wasn't 100% solid in my mind. But there's a hint function in the Hogo OS 1985 Bios (which you access just like any other BIOS!) if you get really stuck.

Occasionally a puzzle type is 'repeated' multiple times, and these sometimes felt a bit long since you do them all in a row.

Overall, I felt the game was well worth it and a great experience.

A roguelike platformer in which you delve into the dark depths of the world, collecting wands full of spells, gold, and potions to survive. Every pixel has a property, be it oil that makes you slippery and easily lights on fire, water that can put out fire and drown you, even whisky that makes you drunk and horribly innaccurate.

Between levels, tear apart your wands, build all new ones, buy new wands or spells, and choose a perk. The deeper you go, the deadlier it gets.

An amazing game. Everything simulated isn't kidding, especially when you add in 'hidden' mechanics like alchemy.

The variety of spells you can put together, that's still being added to, plus the crazy situations you can end up in are great. And there's even a growing modding community, with some amazing mods!
