One of the most underrated games of the ps2 era ever (in my opinion). If you played this on the ps2, I think you know what I mean, but if you didn’t, let me explain.
Most people are expecting a movie game to be bad or mediocre at best. This game is probably one of the best game implementations I’ve ever seen for a movie.
Almost every aspect of this game is just plain fun. The way you scale walls and speed around is super satisfying, and the platforming is spot on.
Not everything is perfect in this game though. I would say the biggest downfall of this game would have to be the music. The music isn’t bad at all; the problem is that the few tracks that are in the game are used too many times throughout the levels, making you long to hear a different song instead. The graphics are also kinda bad, but you don’t really notice it while playing unless you are looking harder than normal.
I will also say that the pacing is a bit unbalanced. Some levels are really short, while some levels take forever to complete. I would recommend that you make sure you have time to play this before you settle into this game.
Overall, one of the best ps2 era games I’ve played, and while 20 dollars is a bit much, I think it is totally worth it.
The choice is yours.

Holy crap! How does Valve manage to make such a good demo?!
Yeah, do NOT get this game on anything but the steam deck, because from my experience none of the controllers I’ve tried worked except for the steam deck controller.
But yes, this is literally just “Valve doin’ it again” and making an absolute masterpiece of a demo while also adding that signature Valve humor. It will surely make you laugh.
Don’t get this game thinking that it’s a full-fledged experience, because it is definitely not. I’ve only played it for one hour, and I’ve almost beaten it twice.
Just get it. It’s free, and you can delete it after you play it if you really want to.

As you can see, I’ve played this game just a little bit.
Jokes aside, this game is pretty solid. It has some great scares and it legitimately has unique mechanics (I know right? Crazy for a horror game these days). However, I need to emphasize that for this review, I am ONLY reviewing chapter ONE, and not any of the dlc.
Now, this game starts with you, as an employee of a once thriving toy manufacturing facility, must return to the factory 10 years after all of the employees inside mysteriously disappeared.
There isn’t really an objective, it’s really just “move forward”. You will venture farther down into the facility with your trusty Grab-Pack, which will allow you to use a set of hands for numerous puzzles and things along the journey, and they are the main gimmick (it is certainly not a bad gimmick).
There is a monster named “Huggy Wuggy” who you will see throughout the game, and is the main big-bad. There’s really nothing else to this game.
The main downside of this game is that, by itself, it is EXTREMELY short. You can get it beat in about 45 minutes if you’re very generous. However, it is free-to-play, so I would say get it. It will most definitely leave you wanting more though. I would highly suggest getting the dlc, I think that it is worth the money (especially Chapter 3) to get those dlc. (I would HIGHLY recommend that you play all of the chapters in order)
The choice is yours.

Early Access Review
This review is mainly targeted towards people who are looking to buy the game but are hesitant about it.
Important Note: This game is practically unplayable with only one player. The game is designed around having one to three people accompanying you on your journey. While it is a bit nicer to have a group of friends to play this game with, this game is still VERY enjoyable playing with random people. I have played the game for a while now, and I have only encountered ONE griefer, and the people playing tend to be pretty chill.
This game is all about meeting a quota. You meet that quota by venturing into facilities on numerous planets and collecting scrap which ranges in an amount of money. You need to bring as much scrap back as informed in order to meet the quota. Simple enough, right?
Oh yeah, did I mention the creatures that try to kill you? Yeah, there are creatures, and each one is sure to scare you the first (and possibly all the) time you see it. For more info on these guys, just ask the people you’re playing with (99 times out of a hundred they will know).
Just get the darn game. It is really difficult to describe in words why this game is so much fun, and the proximity chat makes it a whole lot better than it already is. You’ll need to experience it yourself.

Let’s get serious.
Five Nights at Freddy’s is an interesting topic to cover, since the series has mostly been praised for the hidden lore inside. This is different.
I genuinely think that this was the peak of fnaf (it’s an abbreviation) in terms of a horror aspect. It nails it down practically perfectly.
You star as a security guard who has taken the night shift at a local pizzeria called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. You are tasked with defending the place from crooks if they decide to break in.
You’re not alone.
The souls of the children who went missing now possess the animatronic mascots located in the dining area, and they will now hunt you relentlessly until your shift ends every night for five nights (technically seven nights if you include the sixth and custom night). You can hear the moans and distorted sounds of the animatronics as they try to get into your office. You can watch them through the security cameras, although you mainly just use them to know where the animatronics are.
If they get into your office, it’s game over.
“Wow! That was a crazy description jackyboi!” But in all seriousness, that is genuinely what the game is. It’s a simple concept, but it goes a long way, and in that case it gets a positive review from me. You should get this game.
The choice is yours.

Alright, let’s address the first elephant in the room: the fact that the mod (yes it’s not a game you HAVE to have Portal 2 in order to play, but by this point you can get Portal 2 for usually 10 dollars discounted) costs five dollars.
Now, I wouldn’t say that this is a dealbreaker. If you are looking for a different but familiar play style to Portal 2, then this game is for you. However, it does cost money, when there are other Portal mods that are completely free, except for the simple fact that portals aren’t the main gimmick anymore: it’s the gels that get the spotlight in this mod.
While this simple change is enough to make it a little more interesting, I wouldn’t say that it is the best at doing it. While shooting the blue gel, the one that makes you jump high, it’s completely normal, but when you are trying to shoot the orange gel, the one that makes you run faster, you have to angle your gun at just the right position or else you will constantly be losing and gaining speed. (There is a big section that will require you to have this down to a science)
The second elephant in the room is just how short this game is. When I first fully completed this game, it only took me about 2 to 3 hours, which is measly compared to Portal Stories: Mel’s absurd 9-11 hour playtime which by the way is almost as long as Portal 2. And taking into account the subpar voice acting, this is a very tough choice. This was a very hard choice to consider, but I’m going to still rate this as positive because the idea of it is good, and the puzzles will force you to think about them and plan ahead.

This game was a lot of fun! I played the Don't Escape Trilogy, and it only made sense that I would get this. The music in this game also perfectly matches the tonality of what this game is trying to accomplish. I recommend this game all the way because there is a solid story at play, and it forces you to make decision you other wise wouldn't have done if there was no time restraint.
