'Jurassic World Evolution' lacks the depth in gameplay and park customization you would expect from a modern park simulator. Difficulty is increased through arbitrary means, not by expanding possibilities of management and park planning. Play time is inflated with “free to wait” mobile game mechanics. While the games textures are high fidelity, graphically the game is uninteresting at best. Dinosaurs will walk straight through each other. Guests continually visit viewing stations of enclosures that have no dinosaurs in them, and otherwise just meander about, using paths when they could take the monorail. The UI is clearly optimised for console, with interactions that are intuitive with a mouse completely absent. The lack of water dwelling, and flying dinosaurs is a disappointment, and even superficial aesthetic customization would be better than the bland design players are stuck with.

Ultimately the game gets dull quickly, the only real management challenge is trying to figure out which types of dinosaurs you can keep together in the same enclosure, which doesn’t take long.

I purchased the game heavily discounted, and even then, I probably wouldn’t recommend it.

'Torchlight' is an adequate Hack and Slash Action-RPG, however I found gameplay and looting to become quite tedious not even half-way through my 9 hour run through the game on normal difficulty. Runic games greatly improved on the elements that made this game interesting with the exceptional sequel 'Torchlight II'. While minor story elements from this game are referenced in the sequel, unless you are a massive fan of the genre, I would recommend skipping straight to 'Torchlight II.'
